We do this exact same thing. On paper I’m in a room with a couple of the kids and my wife is with the other.
-
March 9, 2019 is our next cruise. Took all four kids on the first trip. This time it’s just me and the wife. I may take advantage of the $50 deposit and book a July 2019 trip too.

They are both bad.
I agree. At midnight when I needed a drunk snack I very much preferred the toasted Ruben from the deli on the fantasy
-
I’d order a drink and a sugar free rockstar and they didn’t open the rockstar

I drank quite a bit more on the boat than I normally do. Pretty carefree atmosphere and no worries. So I cut loose. I hit 14 drinks every sea day and 10-12 on shore days. I had a great time. My two favorite bartenders memorized my folio number.

I’ve worked on 100’ shrimp boats where the waves were crashing over the wheel house. We’d crest the top of the wave and when it fell out we’d drop to the bottom of th trough and you could hear the bottom of the boat vibrate. I’m still here to tell you is a 100’ boat can handle those waves a ship will be more than fine.

I have a Spring Break 7 day on the freedom booked for 2019. It was $1700 for my wife and I for one of those rooms with the picture window. We didn’t think that was too bad.
I know it’s spring break but the wife and I are both teachers. We don’t care. We’re gonna party harder than those college kids. And besides, according to what I read in here the week long cruises aren’t as wild. We’ll see. I am the BMC teacher(Behavior Management Classroom). I’ll welcome cutting loose and living it up!

Drank enough alcohol to kill anything. Avoid the buffet.
-
I bought two Crown and two Crown Black. I thought the price was reasonable.

As a Texan I am deeply troubled by all of this. The brisket should have a beautiful, wide smoke ring and be not rubbery but have a little stretch to it as you pull pieces apart.
Secondly, we make pulled pork down here. I don’t claim to be great at it BUT my brine and sauce both have vinegar. What the OP describes sounds like an abomination.

Yup. On the Fantasy Chrimson looked for me all over the boat, wherever he was working at the time. I was never without a drink. A waitress at the atrium bar would serve me first no matter how busy she was because I’d spend time and tip her well when it was slower. A few extra dollars go a looong way. I didn’t have to wait between drinks. Whether it was alcohol or one of the other included beverages , I got what I asked for and thy just put my folio number in later.

OK, just for the fun of it, I have been a lifelong sailor and Captain. This is not a contentious post just having some fun with words and terms.
you are on a ship, not a boat
The front of the ship is fore or forward
The back of the ship is in the stern or aft
The bathrooms are Heads
The kitchens are Galleys.
There are no floors, but decks
There are no rooms but cabins.
Port is left (it has 4 letters)
Starboard is right, it has more than 4 letters.
anyone else think of any other Nautical terms, add them on
Walls are bulkheads. Halls are p-ways. Scuttlebutt are rumors.

wife and I are going to Cozumel Mahogany Bay and Belize. We would like to do a vow renewal on the trip at a beach. We were young and had a baby on the way when we got married. I wanted a beach wedding but her family threatened not come if we didn’t do it in her church.
So it will be our 18th anniversary when we cruise and would like to renew our vows on the beach. Any suggestions on where and how?!

I’ve only been on one cruise. For now.
We hit the Lido for lunch with our kids. Then we dropped our carryon off in the room and explored the boat. Then muster and then sail away.

I don’t think it would fit in your closet or under your bed....

day one in Mobile
I used it as soon as I boarded. I did pay taxes on each drink until we were underway for a few hours, presumably until we left Alabama waters.
-
Rockstar is the only energy drink they have. If I remember right they have the regular and the sugar free, that's it.
This is what they had in August on the Fantasy.
-
Get the waters. You’ll need it drinking 15 drinks a day!
One morning I woke up and drank the big water bottle they leave in the room. Didn’t care it was $3.something! I was able to replace it though so no worries.

Use the common area toilets when taking the Browns to the Super Bowl.
-
Same counter a few feet over. Just down from that is the bar.
-
There is also the deli.
The Ruben is great. My wife would order me one at the end of my 15 Cheers drinks!
-
We are going March 9, 2019. So many days away!
-
I had it out of mobile on a 5 day. It cost me $280 after taxes I believe. 15 drinks a day x 5 days about $10 per drink. Plus the rockstars sodas and coffees. Worth it.

Carnival Freedom Dry Dock 2019
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
Where does Freedom dry dock? We’re supposed to sail March 9 and it’s dry docked through the 8th. Worried it won’t be out in time
