American & Delta have cheap flights to BCN again today. No telling how long it will last.

We have used go airport shuttle for private car service with no issues. They have cars, limos, vans, buses

I would choose splendor because I love the tandoor but have been in both ships and enjoyed them both. I find sailing out of port Everglades to be a better experience than Miami which just always seems to be chaotic and unpleasant.

We are doing this in January. Been to GC many times so thought we would try something new.

Thanks for your report. We will be on the paradise in January. Always nice to read about a ship before sailing.

We just booked RDU to BCN for $425 round trip with 1 stop each way in May. Fantastic price.

We went on an island tour which included visiting the garden of the groves and then stopped for lunch at port Lucaya which we really enjoyed

If you google dtw to Bcn for those dates you can get pricing and set up a pricing alert to know when it changes.

I know that's cheaper, we just prefer not to drive.
I wasn't thinking of price I was thinking more about the possibility of their not being an uber/lyft driver interested in making the drive back out to the port during the afternoon rush when they will likely have plenty of local fares to grab.
you can get pricing for various options at https://ride.guru/

Checkout Watlings distillery. You can do a tour and taste their different rums.

You would be better off renting a car and doing valet parking at Universal if you want to go on your own and not through the ship.

What about the airport to the center of town. Is a taxi the best thing for an older group of people?

We are doing the same tour listed above with Barcelona Day Tours and being dropped off at our hotel near La Ramblas.
You could also do a taxi but would likely need more than one. Depending on the number of people the tour will likely come out to almost the same as just a taxi once you figure in the taxi fees. At least that was the case for us.

We went on a nature boat tour a couple of years ago in January. The tour was offered through the ship but I think can also be booked separately. We had the option after of rather being dropped off in Cocoa Beach or returning to the ship.
It was chilly but we wore jackets and it was fine. Learned a lot about the area, saw some Dolphins, it was a nice relaxing day.

Search in my phone worked better than on my PC and I was able to find a few. Thanks.

Hi, I did a search but came up empty. Has anybody used the company Driver Guide Service in Rome? I am most interested in the golf cart tour but would appreciate any and all feedback.
If you have done a golf cart tour with another company I would love to hear about that as well.
Thanks!

Just left the splendor today and got the fabulous crocs visor.

We also got the fabulous croc visors on the Splendor. Looking forward to the next cruise and gift :)

Is it an ocean suite or grand suite? I probably wouldn't do it for an ocean suite but the space in the grand suite is pretty nice.
-
Try a large SaferSwimmer it doesn't require co2, has a waist belt and dry bag and will keep most people afloat if needed.
-
Was your suite ready upon boarding? Trying to decide if I still need FTTF. Thanks!!

I am platinum so my suite was ready but doesn't really help your decision unfortunately.

Don't know why it is showing up so crappy here. Sorry. There is nothing special on the list. Confirmed dining preference, 2 large bottles of water, one bag of laundry, priority debark at ports of call and home port. I definitely don't see anything that warrents the higher gratuities either.

We are currently intros splendor and were not asked about what service we wanted. Tonight we got sort of semi-service. The third bed was made up. We got water bottles (not sure if they were for suite or platinum), the Funtimes, and a towel elephant, all placed on our unmade bed. Very odd.

The only real dining difference with NCL is being able to dine whenever you like. You can also make reservations for the main dining room if you prefer to eat at a specific time. As far as dressing for dinner NCL is very similar to Carnival, with the exception of having one dining room which is more upscale requiring more
Business casual than casual dress. The entertainment on the bigger ships is fantastic as well.
Look for flights NOW!
