100% Float plane in Ketchikan. Island Wings was AMAZING!!! This is a NON cruise booking. We booked outside of the boat due to the issues that had happened prior our trip with a different company. We woke up and were off the boat the minute that we could be. We walked the town, went up to the Totum area, back down ALL before our appointment for our plane ride. Pending the schedule there, they have longer tours if you would like as well. We had a perfectly clear day and landed on a private lake that was just ours. We got out and were able to explore a little before getting back in. We saw a small pod of Ocra's from the plane. AMAZING!!
Island Wings is privately owned and operated, I do not know the current situation with them. But if I could go back, I would for sure fly with them again!

I waited till final payment and let it just cancel on me. It was for a New Year's cruise last year, and they had not called it canceled yet and no way was I going to pay. lol I used a future cruise credit deposit to pay, and we got it back. I am not sure how deposits are done, I just know mine was a refundable and I was not worried.

We loved the Grand when we went last year to Alaska. We were on the Emerald for a Cabo trip and I believe that is a sister ship of Sapphire. If I had to choose between the two, we enjoyed the Grand much more.

WHO announced “COVID-19” as the name of this new disease on 11 February 2020, following guidelines previously developed with the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

We have not officially canceled, but we are certainly NOT paying. I seriously could not find the cancel button, so we will see what happens when our date is up, tomorrow. haha

I just saw the email about our final payment.. I laughed.. and wanted to cry. We are right after yours, so just seeing what plays out. Sadly, not going to go this round. We just might hold off for a few years until our oldest can be in a cabin with the younger 2. -
We are booked, but just have not canceled, sadly. I live here in the Los Angeles area, and I cannot imagine them being allowed to doc. Our kids are not even allowed in school in most of the areas. I cannot imagine LA County being open enough to allow cruises. That might be equivalent to allowing concerts. So sad though, I would love to chill on a balcony with my husband... the ENTIRE time. hahaha I am more curious on what Princess is going to do and what will happen. Our deposit was from FCC so not too worried about that.

We had a corner aft on the Grand (also on Emerald to Mexico) and it is the BEST honestly. We were covered and never had a hot patio area being where we were. We had the best of both sides. When we were at the glacier, we went up top for a while, went back to our room, when the boat was turned AFT to the glacier, we were full view and watched it get smaller in the distance leaving Tracy Arm. It was BEAUTIFUL!

We have been scheduled on the 26th. We booked with the future cruise credit we had from our previous cruise. We have not canceled, because I just am more curious on what they will do. We will NOT be paying anything out of pocket. I would honestly be shocked, as well, if it went forward. I mean, our kids are not even allowed at school and most us in the area are still trying to be safer at home. I would love to go lock myself on my balcony and have food and drinks delivered to me, to my room... but we know that would not happen hahaha

On another cruise ship company, a clothing MLM takes over the entire ship! I have heard stories of people not knowing their party cruise was their cruise and that was a bit much. Just think of an entire ship in crazy looking print clothing, getting their drinking on. Sounds fun for them, who did not pay for their cruise! hahaha

I am not expecting our December cruise. We have not done anything about it, as our deposit was with that one program (escaping my brain at the moment).

Raspberry Romance was my favorite. Only because when I was feeling a bit off from the waves, it calmed my stomach so I actually wanted to eat. There were a few from Crooners that we just loved. I would have to locate a menu 😉

We have been searching forever for new pillows. The only ones we keep going back to are the Princess ones, and you can buy them. However, I was curious if anyone has and if you did, were they the same as on the boat? We love the down feathered pillows so much. Their shipping is crazy expensive though.

We changed our minds on one before and canceled. I did not get an email. I remember looking for one and it was not on my account. We changed to a different one a few days later that was the same price. I am not sure if they had held it as a credit, until it was processed, but we used that credit before funds were released. I would just keep an eye out for the refund.

I was surprised today also as an e mail from Princess informed us of an upgrade from a Deluxe Balcony cabin to a Mini Suite.
We were originally booked on Caribe deck,mid forward, starboard. We are now on Marina deck,mid forward,starboard. It is a higher deck than we are used to,but we still have the starboard location we prefer as it is the better side of the ship for the sailaway from Brooklyn.
We had originally wanted to book a Mini Suite ,but the fare was a bit above our travel budget. We do like the set-up of such a cabin with the curtain that separates the bedroom and sitting areas.
Now, we hope that the Corona virus will not be an issue by early November. Fingers crossed !
Interesting! I was Mid Aft moved Mid Forward, same side (starboard too!) and floor. I was curious about if there was a chance we could be moved to a different floor. lol We were deluxe balcony to mini upgrade too! We are right after Christmas, so crossing fingers, right? 😉

Question... if you buy the 2 meal upgrade, is it for that person only? Like I want one more meal, but 2 would cover my husband and myself. If that makes sense. I have kids and could I use their meals? Or are they connected to the actual guest vs room. I seriously have been looking for this answer. I was told our 9 year old would eat for free and to not worry about the 5th person (we are in 2 rooms lol) Thanks! New to this line!
