  1. We will be on the Oasis in January and have two boardwalk balcony rooms. We are taking seven kids - my husband's three will be next to us in a balcony room and my four will be in an inside stateroom.

How heavily do they police this? I can happily go for a week without soda and would love to just let my son have mine. If I get soda and then hand it to him will I be beaten with reeds? Thrown in the brig?

  2. We bought the pkg, $224, came home with 300+ sheets of pictures and all of them on a CD. Any time there was a photographer we jumped in, they had fun with it, ended up doing a lot more for us than the smile, turn, hand here, next!

Had pictures made with many from the Roll Call group that we handed out copies of the last evening.

With this being a special cruise for ya'll, At $20-25 a sheet, easy math!:D

We did the same and did not regret it. We celebrated our honeymoon on the Equinox in April and bought the package. We were very happy with the decision. Where else are you ever going to get that many good quality photos for so little money? You couldn't print them out yourself for that.

  3. I registered to comment just to say I am a penny pincher too. We just got back from my first (husband's third) cruise. We were on the Eqionox 4/3-4/14. We had an inside stateroom and were completely fine with that. We knew we'd only be in there to sleep, change, and have, uh, honeymoon time (it was our honeymoon after all). Obviously I am a newbie and not an expert, but I didn't feel for a moment like I was missing out.

We also ate all our dinners in the MDR. I am a vegetarian and was only disappointed in one meal.

I am still on the fence as to whether we should have sprung for a drink package. I had a latte every day and we drank our share of pins coladas. And probably someone else's share too.

I think everyone had their own ideas about what is a vacation essential. Just wanted to let you know you are not the only cheapie.
