Recently we’ve had the AI package when sailing Celebrity.  However, this time we got the Blue Chip offer.  For the evening cocktail hour, at any bar, are you limited to the number of drinks ordered?

Just noticed that the number 71 bus is not currently going past the Underground Hospital or the Little Chapel due to roadworks.  I think this is due to be in place until mid August.  Please check www.buses.gg for up to date information.

Looking at the route map, the only bus I see going to Little Chapel is 71.  I guess we'll try to walk or save the 2 til next time.  Thanks for your help.

Personally I would say it is a long walk from the Museum to the other two sites.  The other thing to take account of is that the best time to visit The Little Chapel is early in the morning before the cruise ship coaches arrive.  Therefore, if it were me, I would:-

1) Take the 71 bus to The Little Chapel (allow 30 minutes at the site)

2) Then walk to The German Underground Hospital (google says the walk takes 15 minutes) (allow 40/45 minutes at the site)

3) Take the 71 bus then to the airport and walk to the German Occupation Museum (still only 5-7 minutes) (allow at least 1 hour at the site, preferably a bit longer)

4) Take the 92, 93, 94 or 95 back to St Peter Port from the Museum

 

You would need to look at the bus times to see if it works, I have put in brackets how long I think you could spend at each location.  Please remember you need to arrive at the German Occupation Museum no later than midday, as the museum closes around 1/1:15pm each day.

The reason I had it on the reverse was the early closing of the Occupation Museum.  I’ll try to get DH up and out early and follow your plan.  Thank you so much for the time and thought you put in to your reply!

Guernseycruiser, we will be cruising to your lovely island in August and having been there before I have targeted the following plan:

Take bus 91 to the German Occupation Museum then walk to Little Chapel and Underground Hospital, take bus 71 back to town.  Is it feasible to walk from the museum to the other two sights?  I have a map from prior visit and it doesn't look tooooooo far.

Yes, and after much consternation and research, we agreed it was not needed for a US citizen.

We are on the Sky Princess on 1/22 out of Ft. Lauderdale.  We are in Group A, green line, but no time was given.  What time were you able to board.  AND what night was lobster night in the MD?  We want to book two specialty dining but not on lobster night.  Thank you.

A little off topic but I get confused because we travel on different cruise lines with different rules.  Does NCL allow the daily service charge to be taken out of your OBC? AND do they take nonrefundable first vs. what I could get refunded after the cruise?

We are sailing out of Port Canaveral to the Caribbean and we are both fully vaccinated.  The wording is slightly ambiguous....is the Travel Protection Plan mandatory?

My husband has submitted the match request no less than 10 times via email, 2 times by phone AND we finally mailed all the documentation and we still don't have a status match!  I'll take any and all recommendations!

We bought ours from their website months before we cruised.  Our cruise was in December 2017.  Too far to walk.

It appears they have combined the T1 and T2 routes into one route on the Hop on Hop off buses. Some old directions said to take the T1, then transfer over to the T2 to get to Fusterlandia.

Yes we went in December 2018.  We went in the morning and even though they were not yet open, they let us in and sold us tickets.  That evening we got 2 front row seats on the wall.  The ticket included

3 mojitos, we could only drink 1 and maybe 1/2...too  sweet.  We stayed almost an hour, authentic band and music, but after an hour it all started to sound the same.

I was able to purchase my reservation online using an American credit card.  This was in September 2017 for a December 2017 sailing.

But has anyone been to Café Taberna?

1. We enjoyed the show but it was a little long.  We had dinner there so our seats were stage front.  We had drinks before on the patio and that was memorable.  Cool bar!

We will be in Havana until 1AM and want to see some local  entertainment.  We have seen the show at Hotel Nacional, want something different.  Thoughts?
