Aside from embarkation lunch at Chops, the two Key benefits that you will not have in a suite are a wifi package and dedicated times at the Flow Rider and rock climbing wall. Obviously you can purchase the wifi package for less than the Key. I have seen complaints about the dedicated times at the Flow Rider for Key passengers, on some cruises it has been daily, on other cruises it has been only one hour at some point during the cruise. Rock climbing wall usually doesn't have a long line anyway.
This is great advise!!

I would not get the key if you have the suite. Most of the key benefits would duplicate.
Thank you, that is what I needed to hear.

Just upgraded from a balcony to the Grand Suite 2 bedrooms but trying to find what are the benefits from sailing in a suite. Its on Navigator 3 night cruise.
Any help at all would be greatly helpful. Was looking at getting the Key but maybe I already get all of these benefits (?) Also bought Chops lunch on
embarkment day for us all.
Or point me in the right directions for more info. Haven't sail in awhile on Royal we used to have a concierge call us before cruise.

I know this is a very old post but looking to book stream fishing in Icy Straight and am having trouble finding someone. Can anyone help. Doing fishing in all ports but wanted to do stream fishing if we can. HELP...

Thanks so much. We are sailing with our daughter’s family and they love to fish so really appreciate your replies.😀
No problem at all. The Alaska Catch and Rum Runners book up really fast so make sure you call them now. We are already booked with them both for next year in May.

Can anyone recommend a private fishing charter out of one of the following ports: Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan. TY
In Ketchikan we always use The Alaska Catch with Captain Mike is outstanding. We have used him many times and using him again this year. Always a pleasure to fish with Captain Mike.
In Juneau we use Rum Runners and they are very good and always use them. Great people.
Need to get back with you on who we use in Skagwag. I don't remember their name.
Always have a ball catching Salman, halibut and rock fish. We used the above twice last year and we will use them again this year.

Thank you for the website. This is a great site to check out how many are in port with us. When do they come out with which berth the ship will be at??

Check out Harv and Marv's whale watching in Juneau. I used them several years ago and was so very happy with them. Last year we went 2 different times to Alaska and it was the company I recommended to everyone and they were all very happy with their choice.

Any news today???

I actually had dinner tonight with the sales manager of The Westin/Sunset Key and I asked her about that. She said they only sell 20 spots per day on the beach @ $40 and Westin guests usually grab those up by 0815.
Mike
Bummer, but thanks. That really does makes a lot of sense.

Sorry but it is almost impossible to get reservations for the beach at Sunset Key anymore.
But there is no harm in asking when you make your lunch reservations. Last time I checked it was $40 pppd.
Mike:)
Mike thank you so much for the info! I will check when I make lunch reservations.

I want to make reservations at Latitudes for lunch when we are there. By any chance can we also use the beach after we are done eating??? I know this is a long shot but I thought I would ask anyway. Thanks for all your help.

Thank you to all who gave their opinions. Haven't decided for sure yet' date=' but leaning toward keeping the large balcony as I don't think well want to sit around inside much when we're in the cabin & space doesn't matter when we're zzzz-ing.
Still, one never knows, our decision could change before day's end.
Thanks again! I'll be sure to check back this afternoon in case there are any further helpful comments.[/quote']
Good Luck with whatever you decide.

According to the Italian newspaper " La Stampa " , Mr. Schettino is going to publish a book about the tragedy... Anyone has heard of it?
There was talk to this a couple of pages ago.

Is that a general rule' date=' or just when you've booked without a travel agent? Reason I ask is when telling me about the GTY CC, my agent (a popular online one to these boards) pretty much indicated that once I accept, I'm "stuck with" Celebrity's assignment.[/quote']
Either way, with a TA or Celebrity direct. You can change your cabin in the same cat. as what you were assigned. You must wait till the cabin has been assigned but then go for it. If your TA says No, you can't, then tell them you want a three way call and hear it from Celebrity that you can not. They will then change the cabin for you. Just check to see what ones are available before you call your TA so that you can tell them which one you want.

I also would not give up a sweet sixteen for a CC gty. But that is just me. We spend alot of time out on our balcony so that is where I want the most space.

Traveling with kids, cancelled due to current concerns?

No not at all, we leave next Friday. There will be 5 of us, 65, 53, 40, 40, 10.
Sorry but see no reason at this point to cancel. In fact we just upgrade our balcony to a 2 bedroom suite.
