My guess is that somehow your husband's loyalty number did not get entered or was entered incorrectly, so a whole new account was set up for him. Definitely if you have a TA, they can call in and get the accounts merged or just have the new incorrect one deleted. If you booked directly, I recommend using the chat feature to contact Princess as it is usually easier/quicker than a phone call.

You might want to consider an AeroPress. It involves no electricity. You would need to bring your own ground coffee and then get hot water from the galley. There are several different versions for sale on Amazon.

While there are places that show sports, you can't depend on being able to see anything in particular and often the ESPN channel on the tvs in cruise ships is not the same ESPN as you might get at home. So, yes you may be able to watch your desired game, but don't be disappointed if it doesn't work out.

Just FYI, VV does not price adjust (if by some miracle the price would go down), you have to cancel and re-book. Like everyone else has said, it would be surprising if prices went down.

Be sure to mark the 45 day prior to your cruise date, so that you are ready to make dinner reservations, or if you used a TA and you get them your list in advance of that, they can often make the reservations for you.

You should be able to get the discount by booking the required number of excursions without your partner also having to book the same number. Of course, they will not get the discount if they book fewer excursions. I seem to remember that I had to actually check the discount box along with the (in my case five) excursions in order for the discount to show up.

Also, is the Korean restaurant ONLY for group seating, or is it possible to get a table for two? TIA!
In Gunbae, there are no tables for two. Most of the tables are for six with a few for eight. It is very unlikely that they will seat you on your own.

Hi we are booked our first VV cruise "Across the Med" October 2024 and are excited to go! We would like to book VV cruise in March 2025 and am not sure if we wait to book this until on ship for MNVV perks. What is the best way to do this? We have flight credits to use up before June 2025 and would like the assistance of TA this time.
While we can't recommend TAs here, often you can find one that has MNVVs they will sell to you. Personally, I am not sure I would wait until this October to be on the ship and book for next March with the way VV has been raising their rates.

I didn't pay a lot of attention (we were on the inaugural and the pools had just been filled, so they were still quite cold), but I think there were only ladders.

Are the beds in rock star cabins better than sea terrace? I was told mattresses are better
The beds in the Rock Star cabins are amazing! They are very comfy.

Another question for the sea terrace. How much space is there under the bed to store suitcases? About 4 weeks to go before our first VV cruise and wondering if we need to buy smaller cases.
Taking into account that suitcase dimensions can vary somewhat even in the same "size" case, generally, we have found that carry-on luggage fits without a problem. Full sized luggage can be more of an issue.

I was curious if you were a back sleeper? I'd like to try sleeping in one next time (as sometimes my snoring bothers my wife) but I'm a side sleeper and concerned I couldn't get comfortable enough to sleep 5-6 hours in one. Any suggestions?
In a regular bed, I am a side sleeper, but on the hammock that is not possible. You pretty much have to be mostly on your back. The lack of any real pressure points really helps to make it comfortable. It is certainly worth trying out. Maybe a daytime nap first to see how it goes???

It is either bed or couch. You can't have both at the same time.

While I have no personal experience with NCL transfers, I have never seen any cruise line airport transfers that were anything other than a full sized bus which you would be given instructions on where to find. If they want someone to meet them at the airport with a sign, I imagine you will have to do a private service.

I thought I saw a picture somewhere of eggs Benedict. Where would I find that? EM
Those are in The Wake. Although it is possible there may be a special in The Galley.

It does not appear that you can buy the dining packages as a gift, but you can buy on board credit that they could use for the dining.

If you are comparing to a standard balcony on almost any other main stream cruise line, they are very similar (perhaps a bit smaller/larger depending on the line/ship you are comparing). The bathroom may be a bit more compact, but it is certainly workable for most people.

Definitely ask for extra sauce as some of the items are a bit plain. Also, you can combine parts of different entrees. I usually get the vegetables and add just the shrimp. To me the best parts are the stuff before the entree. I could fill up on that.

Per the cruise contract that every line has, they are allowed to change the itinerary at any time for any reason. That being said, sometimes they will give people some OBC or other compensation, it is just not a guaranteed thing.

Try the Canadian version of Insure My Trip to compare travel insurance options for you.

If you want to get a "holder" for the medallion (the free lanyard is not the best), you can get them onboard as someone mentioned or you can just order your own beforehand. They are basically the same size as an Apple air-tag, so anything that will hold an air-tag will hold the medallion.

Does Oceania offer beverage packages (alcohol) in addition to simply MORE, I can't see to find that on their website?
Yes. There is a Prestige Select package which adds cocktails and you can order drinks at any time not just lunch and dinner. Currently, it costs $30 per day/per person and I think I have read that both people are not required to do the upgrade.

We don't really use the pool and people were complaining about beds on Princess for years and we never had an issue with them or any other line.
If you don't care about the pools, then obviously that is not a deciding factor for you.
I have also cruised many lines and while I don't find all the beds extremely comfortable, I think the beds on VV are the most uncomfortable of any line I have sailed on (I have been on 9 different lines). They are barely 4" thick and hard as a rock. If that is your thing, it might not be an issue. For myself, I will often sleep in the hammock at night, because at least I don't wake up with every part of my body in pain.
Like I said, it is definitely worth giving VV a try. I will sail them again. I just won't sail them exclusively.

We haven't been on a cruise since 2019. We recently moved to Florida and wanted to get back to cruising. Our go to lines were Celebrity, Princess, and Royal Caribbean. I have been reading so many bad reviews from seasoned Cruise Critic members about the changes in food quality, entertainment, service, as well as new Tech features that they promote not working that I thought VV should be considered. We never sailed with them so we will have no expectations. I was going to book a shorter cruise to try it out but from what I am reading it seems the longer cruises would be more of the vibe that we are used to. We are 55 and 64 yrs old and live in an active resort style adult community so there is always something going on here and I was just wondering how we would fit in on VV.
Every cruise line has people complaining about downward changes in quality. Some of that may be true, some may be people looking at the past with rose colored glasses.
As far as tech goes, don't count on VV to be an improvement over any other line. The app is extremely flakey. We had a friend in tears trying desperately to get dinner reservations when they opened. That is why we generally let our TA deal with that.
I'm not trying to dissuade you from trying VV. Certainly worth trying. Some people never go back to the other lines. Personally, I like variety. And the fact that the beds in non-Rockstar rooms are very uncomfortable (IMHO) and that the pools are a joke will certainly keep me from ever making VV the only cruise line I sail.
$14.99 charge ?

The $14.99 is just a one time fee to get the delivery through the app/Medallion activated. It has nothing to do with the charges by the restaurants for the actual food.
