  1. Hello! We were on the Dream in January and our imessages worked on our phones, we did not buy the wifi plans… We are on the Breeze right now about to pull out of Galveston and I can’t send imessages if im in airplane mode anymore while connected to Carnival wifi.. Did they change something or am I doing something wrong? Thanks :)

  2. Hello, my husband and I are taking our kids on a carnival cruise (breeze) in December and have nearby rooms (not connecting). We booked one room under my name and one under his and split the kids between us… We plan on the older two staying in the interior room and the youngest staying with us in the other room.. Will Carnival give us extra keys for the rooms or do we just have to trade keys around?

This is the first time we’ve booked two rooms with one adult in each, so I wasnt sure.

    Thanks in advance :)

We do it because it's easier to smuggle booze on board. Security has longer to look at checked luggage. For carry on, security has a few seconds to scan to keep the line moving. Much easier to get booze on board. 😀

Everything I’ve seen says to check your booze luggage because they have so many bags to go thru and are more likely to miss it… Let's pretend you are sneaking booze in a carry on.. What would be the best way to hide it? Not that I or any of my fellow cruisers would ever consider to do something so very bad… But, for research purposes….

  4. It’s not that hard to fake the tests, if someone wants to lie they can.

On our last cruise out of Galveston we were next to a family that had a member test positive for the flu but negative for Covid. They let them on, no problem. The testing is a joke and needs to end. The flu is also dangerous for the same population that are in danger of severe/fatal covid complications and yet we don’t mandate flu vaccines and testing. Let people take their own chances 🙄

  5. Just got off the dream. There were obvious quarantine rooms randomly around the ship. It sounded like if people tested positive they were moved to an open balcony room and room service was free as well as internet service. I didnt hear anything about drinks. We could tell who was quarantined because the food outside of their rooms were in red biohazard bags. We had one next door to us that “moved in” on day 3 and we heard them on their balcony throughout the day.

I’m thinking its either constantly changing or up to the individual ships what actually happens. It also seemed the covid + got off first, but I’m not 100% sure on that.

We sail next week on the 9th and are scheduled for the ID Now test on Friday the 7th.  Just wondering what the result times are right now.  I took it before my Mardi Gras cruise in September and had the results back within 45 minutes.

I got my results back in less than an hour today for the ID now one. He told me about 4 hours tho.

I believe these are technically prescribed medical products - and therefore you are not allowed to sell them.

and as I recall - it is even stated on their web site.

We ended up using them anyway so not an issue... But I don't think they are technically RX because you can buy them OTC? So I could technically go out and buy 10 of them and distribute to my friends.. Unlike zofran or something of that nature... Is the way I understand it?

  8. I have not read thru all 10 pages of this thread, so I'm sorry if it's been asked already... We are finally cruising again Jan 2 out of Galveston and I just realized that the "window" to test is going to be New Years Eve so I'm not sure we'll be able to find anywhere to test around here, thinking of doing the at home test... Does anyone know if they set up the med appointments on holidays/weekends? I don't see anything on the two that Carnival recommended saying they don't but I'm worried about missing the proper window of time we need 😟

don't count on it!   Just this weekend, I saw a guy "washing" his hands by rinsing for about 8 seconds under the water... no soap, nothing.  (and yes, there was soap available!)

and another person, actually got some of the foam soap on their hands and then immediately put their hands under the water and started rubbing them together (essentially rinsing the soap right off before any "washing" could actually happen) for a few seconds.

even in the midst of this - where everyone everywhere is saying WASH YOUR HANDS!!  There are still people that are just going through a lame attempt of the "motions" of washing their hands...

they need to have hand-washing classes!!  LOL

Heathens! Bath and body works is still out of hand sanitizer, so.. At least people appear to be using that 😐

Interested to see what changes they put in place. Buffets may not be self serve, and a I'm sure there will be more hand sanitizer!

I’m pretty happy about those things lol. Maybe people might actually wash their hands after going to the restroom now! 😏

No, they did not do away with Early Dining. And yes, it is very possible that it was full when you booked in April of this year. I am also on the Nov 30th Vista sailing and I booked in April of 2018 (last year).  So April of this year wasn’t really early to book the cruise; 6 months out is actually kind of late. In any case, since you have YTD you can just go at 6 pm every night. Anyway, three more weeks from today! I hope you are as excited as I am. 😊

  12. Hello.. I have a question (not sure if it's Vista specific).. We booked the Vista back in April for a cruise Nov 30.. So far early dining has not been an option. I asked our vacation planner and all he said was that it didn't appear to be available at the time but that he would keep checking. I find it a little odd that it would already be fully booked, out of 5 carnival cruises we've never had an issue doing early dining.. So.. I was wondering.. Did they get rid of the early dining? I checked today and late is no longer available but I didn't expect it to be this late in the booking.

It's not a huge deal, I'm just curious, I like early booking but I suppose I can *live* with "your time" 😉

Cruised from here on the Vista a few weeks ago, had the same boarding time. Got there about 20 minutes early and there was no line and the employees were telling and waving people to go in, dont stop, keeping moving. Took about 5 minutes to get to the seating area and only sat about 15 minutes before we were boarding. This was my third cruise out of Galveston in the last 2 years with similar results each time, no lines.

This is always our experience cruising out of Galveston!

  14. Planning our 10 year anniversary and thinking we would like to do an Alaska cruise in 2021, can anyone advise on favorite line/itinerary/month/ship to go? We were thinking June and probably sticking with Carnival since that’s all we have experience with. We dont know anyone who has done Alaska so not sure where to start (other than stalking this forum, which we are).

  15. My husband and I are going to take a scuba cert course this summer in preparation for our November Carnival cruise. We decided we wanted to dive in Cozumel and Grand Cayman.. Has anyone done a two tank dive through Carnival or does anyone have a recommendation for a good company to go with instead? We've dived in Cozumel before and loved it, but went with a private company for that dive, we were very impressed, but I'm not seeing as many private recommendations for GC as I had for Cozumel so I'm hesitant to book through a private company vs through the cruise line. Thanks in advance!
