  1. We were on the Equinox in February, loved every minute of it.I have to say it was one of the best. The ship is beautiful and the food was delicious.....enjoy your cruise....:)I do understand your excitement we leave for a b2b2b in about two weeks, wooo hooo.....

  2. Does anyone know how we preorder a fan? Would like to know. The one DH uses is 12" round. It is fairly new but from what some are saying the concern would be the electricity?? He always packs it in his suitcase. Any issue with bringing our own surge protector plug in. Usually on HAL ships there are no outlets by the bed and he likes it on his face. Thoughts?

You might try calling crown and anchor and tell them your concerns about getting a fan for your hubby. My hubby has problems with his heart, and the fan sure helps with his breathing.Sorry not crown and anchor, the Captains club.....we are leaving on a b2b2b soon with RCCL have that on my brain, lol.

  3. I need to get clarification on this as DH brings his fan on every cruise. He cannot sleep without it and I doubt a battery operated one is gonna do the trick. I guess if we have to make it work we will but I am going to check with the cruise line on that. We always bring a surge protector to plug it in on all our HAL cruises and it hasn't been an issue. If anyone know for sure I would love to hear it.

When i asked my room steward for a fan,he asked me if i had pre-ordered it,i told him no but my husband needs one,so he called somewhere and told me he would have the fan within the hour, and we did.

  4. Just got off the Equinox a couple weeks ago and yes my cabin steward did get me a box fan.It looked brand new ,so yes you can ask for a fan,i did tip him extra.Oh and yes this one plugged into an outlet,no batteries.

  5. I'm with Lisa on this..."chiming in" is one thing, and Lisa hasn't objected to that. And, she's been clear about being open to all questions, too. This isn't a roll call or general comments thread...it's a personal review thread and that has been very clear from the opening entry. But, Steve really was beginning to add major posts with videos that are very different in timbre, tone and style. He's stated that he'll post on the roll call, so those who want to follow can simply add that to your "subscribed".

I hesitated from even posting this because it takes away further from the original topic, but I hope my opinion can get us mainly back to LISA'S view and re-view.

Well i have loved Lisa's live reporting,it's wonderful, but this is an open discussion on these threads. There is a place on CC for private blogging.I personally enjoyed all of Steve's post's and video's but that's just my 2 cent's whatever that's worth.Like i said awesome job Lisa,i have followed your post from the beginning.

  6. I enjoyed Steve and Harry's and the other's experiences on this cruise, I wasn't aware that this thread was for only Lisa's experience, I mistakenly thought that the others could chime in. I was aware that Lisa started it, but it was very helpful to have it all in one place for those of us who were following along and eager to hear info. When working full time it is nice to just have to look one place for all of the info and the answers!!

I have to agree with you,i was enjoying everyone chiming in.It's nice having post's all in one thread. Will be on the Legend in April for a b2b2b.Thanks everyone for you opinions and post's.

  7. What privet excursion did you use in Istambul? Any privet tours in Russia and Ukraine ? I m taking a Black Sea cruise with Celebrity Constellation in October 2014.Thank you

You are probably on our cruise, come and visit the roll call there are many private tours planned.

  8. anyinput on black sea 11 days cruis?

Check out our roll call for Oct 14,2014 on the Constellation,it is a Black sea cruise. It is a total Black sea cruise starting in Istanbul. It is a bit pricey but the ports are amazing. Many of us are doing a b2b2b ,Black sea,Holy land,Transatlantic back to US.

  9. Just got off magic. They are only taxing texas residents. After clearing customs there are people that ask you about if you bought liquor or tobacco and they are looking for those boxes of booze. We were given a letter on the ship that if you are not from texas then to state this and show ID and they would let you bypass the duty line. This line is right before you get outside. By the way I thought this was going to slow the process down but today was the fastest I was off the ship 15 minutes. Out of room at 7:30 in car at 7:45.

So glad you clarified this, this is what i thought. How did you like the Magic?been thinking about booking it.

  10. Yep!

If Texas wants to start messing around with taxing and such......stop buying! If your really upset..........travel from another state.

We stopped buying liquor on board when the prices went up....Not a great deal anymore... It's just silly buying for a savings of a few dollars (if any savings at all) when we spend thousands on the cruise.

Yes i agree, just quit buying it.....

  11. I would love to do it but how cold is it?

Well it is cold but i was shocked it wasn't as cold as i thought it would be.I brought a sherpa coat so i was toasty ,lol.My husband did bring a coat but he ended up wearing his sweater most of the time while cruising Antarctica. The Falkland islands were quite the experience,we went bogging to see the penquins,my hubby loved it ,of course ......

  12. When we booked our cruise we were able to take advantage of the Military discount and was told that we needed to show the DD214 at the pier at check in.. my questions are in regards to whether or not Celebrity accepts copies or do the need an original? Do they keep a copy of just need to see it; also will they accept one that has the SS# blackened out?

Thanks for any information from those who have used this discount in the past.

A copy is fine, this is what we carry, but as mentioned here, have never been asked to show it,but you never know.

  13. This really made me weepy reading all these posts, its wonderful to read how much people love there fur babies.I lost my "precious, long hair chihuahua"while i was on a cruise to Asia.Come to find out she had a heart murmor.Every time we would pull out the luggage she would try and get in it,it got to the point to where i had to hide the luggage, because she would start grieving.I was devastated,i just wanted a few more minutes with her.i TOTALLY understand your concern with leaving your baby, prayers your baby gets well.

  14. We just booked our first Asia cruise - 14 days in the Far East - on Millennium (our first cruise with Celebrity). We have cruised with Royal Caribbean and NCL and have over 10 cruises including the Mediterranean, the Baltics, and Adriac, so we aren't newbies to foreign travel.

Our cruise this time includes the airfare which we have never included before. For anyone who has sailed with Celebrity before and had airfare included in the package was it a good experience? I expect we will have at least one stop from Atlanta to Hong Kong, but will there be many more? Any problems with transfers?

We usually like to book our own excursions and I rely heavily on the CC port boards, but how are the Celebrity excursions in Asia? Were you pleased with the quality and the cost?

We are really excited to be taking this cruise and sailing with Celebrity:D

Are you doing the April 12th,2015 cruise by chance?if so you should go to the roll call, lots of great information and tours being planned.
