  1. Oooo this is excellent, I'm at work just now but I'll be checking all their Vlogs out when I get home, thanks so much! Ooo I do love the Spa! I'll need to ask my Mum to get me a price for Aurea! Thanks. A rollercoaster at sea! I'd LOVE that! I maybe do need to broaden my horizons a little bit haha. You're quite right, no such thing as perfect and different things are more important to different people too so a comparison can be quite hard! Thanks for your helpful comment :) Hahaha yes definitely not an issue for us! Good to know re drinks package. And that's very very helpful re the Aurea. Last three NCL cruises I've always purchased the speciality dining, a big lover of Cagney's and Teppanyaki so I felt it was really good value for money. I'd LOVE to try Yacht Club or Haven but not going to happen til we have our wedding and new house out of the way! Urgh the lack of queuing is certainly irritating but as I spend my holiday the Scottish way taking full advantage of the all inclusive booze there isn't much that anyone could do to upset me haha. That's really helpful to know about the Aurea. Fantastica may indeed then be the way to go. I agree - Americans, Scots and Irish with a dash of Welsh! Met some fantastic Kiwis on our last cruise who were really up for a laugh as well. One of my favourite things about cruising is definitely meeting so many cracking people!
  2. Thanks for this. Your photos are absolutely gorgeous, that transparent floor is amazing! I think I could just about cope with a 7.30 sitting. No chance with any earlier! Oooo sounds excellent! I LOVED the Escape myself so if you preferred Seaside it must be good!!! That's very interesting as I've never heard any complaints about MSC when I've spoken to people but I guess different strokes for different folks etc. 10 on Celebrity, they must be good! Ach I know what you mean but I think if it came down to it I'd rather pay a bit more for a line I loved than save a bit of money but not have quite as good an experience. That said, maybe cruises are a bit like pizza... even "bad" ones tend to be quite good! Thanks so much for this very detailed review. You sound a lot like me... I'm a big lover of the trivia/deal or no deal type things, I do love to sunbathe but it's nice to have the break for a wee pub quiz! I also wouldn't be a huge fan of being seated with other people and at the same time going with a big group it's nice to get some time to yourself so we certainly wouldn't be having dinner as a big group every night. I'm also a fan of the relaxed vibe on Norwegian, I start off with good intentions of getting myself all glammed up for dinner every night but when you're relaxing on holiday I really can't be bothered spending ages getting ready! This is very helpful :) Thanks very much for this. 3 times in 12 months - living the dream! Great to know, thanks a lot! The ships certainly do look gorgeous, especially the Seaside! Ooo I do love MJ and love a good show! Thanks so much for your detailed reply! I don't drink coffee but my fiancé loves it so that would be good! The ships do look absolutely gorgeous and a covered pool would be excellent. The fact you're repeating says a lot! Thanks so much, I'm just about to sit down and open this! Really?! In what way? Other than the coffee thing (I don't drink coffee so doesn't bother me) I'd struggle to see how a drinks package could be better than NCL! I've always found the cocktails and the range of premium spirits available fantastic! RE price anytime I've booked the UBP has been included for free, I have seen people upgrade to it on ship and admittedly it seems pretty expensive but we definitely get our worth out of it haha! I've heard this about the pizza and I'm intrigued! I do love my trivia though and definitely the "party" aspect of NCL! Thanks for this! Ooo really? I really fancy the Bliss as well, seen some fab itineraries for it. We have cruised the Escape and the Waterfront was fantastic, it does look like the Seaside has something comparable! Your trips sound amazing, that's a bargain with the vouchers and Alaska would be sooo good. Definitely on my list. 25 cruises is the dream! Good to know you've enjoyed them all, it does seem to be a struggle to get a "bad" cruise in fairness. Water thing does seem a bit strange but every has it's quirks! Thanks so much to you all for all your replies, really appreciated, lots to think about :)
  3. Will do, thanks so much :) Haha thank you! Hello fellow Scot! You're very very right about that, it's always what you make it I guess! I am getting more and more tempted!
  4. This is so helpful, thank you very much. I think I'd definitely need to go with the Aurea package because I'm not a fan of being majorly structured when I'm on holiday personally.
  5. 32 days?! Ohhhh the dream! Wish I could take that kind of time off work! Would be a bit sore getting back to reality after a full month of being pampered right enough! Thanks so much for your response :)
  6. Thanks so much for your detailed answer. Good to hear that you love them both :) Interesting re Yacht Club. We haven't tried the Haven yet (currently saving for our wedding and new house so can't really justify it right now) but it's definitely on the hit list so I'll keep this in mind! We did the Escape late 2017 and I absolutely LOVED that ship.
  7. Hello folks 🙂 Looking for some advice and help. I’ve only ever cruised with NCL, four cruises and loved every minute, and I’ve always been very reluctant to try another line in case I don’t enjoy it as much. (NCL loyal!) However, some family members are about to book a cruise on the MSC Seaside, 15 nights Caribbean, and NCL can’t even begin to compete with the price we’re getting (including the premium drinks package). The ship looks absolutely stunning. I’m really torn! So can anyone tell me how you find MSC vs NCL if you have done both? The good, the bad, the ugly! I’d also love to known how the premium drinks package is on MSC... on NCL the cocktails are fantastic and spirits are a good range of premium brands, how does MSC compare? My biggest concern is dining. I love at NCL the flexibility of no formal dining times etc. I see MSC does an early and late sitting but also a mention of My Choice dining... can anyone break down how this works for me please? Thanks in advance for any help, Jen x
