  1. How small is small? My wife and I are both under 5'5" tall, would we have a problem?

Height isn’t the problem, the layout of the bathroom is very small a lot of people have said that their knee has to rest against the wall when they’re sitting down on the toilet so I’m sure that’s what was being referred to :) one thing you may enjoy is the adjustable height of the shower head

  2. Photos of 9002 on Seaside. ***Not my photos, but shared with permission.*** There was so much room, they could put the crib in the corner of the room. (I have not figured out how to post photos properly, hence the links.)

Oh interesting. I like the balcony, but the layout inside is a bit strange with all the open space by the door.

  3. Just a suggestion, go to the MSC website, do a straight up search from the main page (don’t click one of the promotional headers) and see what price you get for your current cabin (assuming it isn’t sold out) mine was $700 less and MSC changed my booking to the lower price. Saved $2100 over 3 cabins!!

Sorry if this isn’t in the appropriate thread... just want to pass along to as many people as possible :)

  4. surely they should update the deck plans on the website now that they know they are wrong though?

I wouldn’t hold my breath on that one... probably why there’s a disclaimer when booking that says “Please also be aware that the information on this website is subject to change without notice and that MSC reserves the right to refuse or honor any prices that are erroneously published or quoted. MSC Cruises reserves the right to cancel, change, modify or substitute ports and times of call at any time and for any reason whatsoever without prior notice. Prices are per person, quoted in USD and are based on double occupancy. They are valid for US & Canadian residents only. Offers are capacity controlled, subject to availability and restrictions apply. Your allocated or selected stateroom number may be subject to change.”

  5. Not sure I would want any on the way they currently look, Green painted floor and the side glass replaced by White dividers!

What would be nice would be that they make it look like the rendering above when it gets to Miami.

The other thing is that the cabin is just a Fantastica layout being sold as a Suite ...

Oh I see what you mean, I was specifically thinking of the lack of furniture. I agree though, the painted floor and standard opaque dividers don’t look appealing. Certainly not compared to the renderings.

On top of all that’s been going on, I’m not sure if it’s just for my sailing or all, but prices have absolutely skyrocketed. MSC really needs to update photos, floor plans, etc. now that the ship is complete as well as now that they’re raising the prices.

  6. I am having a hard time seeing what is on the balcony. There is a chair ,that is clear, but is that a table to the left at 44 seconds? I don't see arms, so maybe 2 chairs and a table out there?

We were on the NCL Getaway last year and stayed in their very similar cabin (larger balcony toward front of ship, I can't recall the exact category). but they had 2 chair, 2 loungers and a table.

Yeah a little table/ottoman is what it looks like to me. I think there would probably be room for a lounger on the balcony but who knows what they’ll have for sure at this point.

  7. I understood that it was a direct from top deck to bottom deck. With the exceptions of those who were in the back suits who could call the elevator, just like those in the YC, can call an elevator with their room card.

Ah that makes sense! Nice perk for the aft suites :)

  8. I was asking about the panoramic elevators at the very back. It wouldn't make sense to have everyone in the back of the ship have to use the mid elevators.

Here’s a quote from an article online, which is just one of multiple things I’ve seen/heard referencing the elevators only being used to take pax from deck 7 to 16 and vice versa:

“Panoramic glass elevators will be located in the aft of the ship to take passengers on a nonstop ride to the top decks.”

  9. I can't imagine that MSC would limit the panoramic elevators to such a small group of passengers especially when they are making a pretty big deal of having those elevators.

Right, the whole time they’ve been advertised as providing nonstop service from the south beach pool up to deck 16 and that’s how it looked like it operated in a video Capt. Scala posted with himself and Andre the cruise director on instagram.

  10. Kicia ... As I understand it the only people who will have use of the aft lifts / elevators are those in the Aft Suites according to one of the senior management of MSC.

Whether or not that is the case we will find out on December 23rd.

Are we talking about the panoramic elevators on the very back of the ship or other lifts?

  11. Looks like you’ll be underneath the tables and chairs outside of the Miami Beach bar, hopefully the noise won’t be too bad :) I think being in one of the aft 2 whirlpool suites will be really nice compared to forward! I’m sure you’ll have a blast either way.
