  1. Sometimes  people can be like the child who always wants to sit in the front passenger seat in the car when it's vacant. Regardless of other siblings who may also want this seat.

Its good to mix it up a little and sit in other places so everyone can enjoy different views and opportunities.

  2. ing debit card is another great card to use provided you deposit $1000 per month and make 5 debit transactions month.  I've been booking a few tours overseas for a cruise next year and get charged the international transaction fee and then it gets credited back to account.  Saved considerable dollars already.

Hi Kayla, yes if your a CCL shareholder you can get OBC for your P&O Cruises.

In saying this Im trying to get my OBC currently for our cruise on the Aria in Sept. Talk about put me through the hoops, never had any dramas with getting OBC with Princess before but this is a whole new ball game.

    Cheers

Thanks Johnno have recently purchased shares waiting on the paperwork have both p&o and Princess Cruises to request obc for. Let me know if there is anything I can do to avoid the drama 😊

Hope it all goes well for you and the dollars hit your account soon.

    Cheers

Yes.  Room doesn’t matter.  Only length of cruise.  Certain discounted cruises and charters don’t qualify.  But the most expensive suite on Seaborne gets the same obc as an inside cabin n carnival.

With "length of cruise' used to determine your obc entitlement with your shares, does that mean if you are doing a 35 night cruise and it is listed as being worth 2 future cruise credits does that also mean you would get 2 x $250obc for your shareholder benefit?

I have used the Shareholder benefit with P&O and other Carnival brands quite a number of times and it has always been a quick and easy process, just need your latest share holding information to e-mail through:)

Can you please clarify for me as I'm in Australia.   Can you use get the obc for owning 100 shares of carnival for sailing on P&O cruises within Australia or is it only carnival and princess?

    thanks

Result! Thanks to all of you who replied. I have now re-booked to an inside saver instead of select outside with a saving (after losing deposit which was only £25 and obc) of £400 on a single cabin.

nice work.  more money for your next cruise 🙂

  7. I've also benefited from this promo with 2 princess short cruises.  One was able to rebook, transfer cruise credits to new booking and save $50 plus be upgraded to a better suite. The other was able to save $250  on a 3 night cruise so happy about that.  It definitely pays to subscribe to various cruise company emails to monitor pricing fluctuations and check into this website frequently. 😉

  8. thanks Thrak with the flight it was part of the promo (free flight with cruise booking) didn't know if this would impact the FCD as such. On reading through the terms of the Ezair flight i think it reads that I will have to pay for the full cost of the flight if i cancel.  I will ring TA tomorrow to clarify.

Seen a much better offer on cruise was looking at the potential to rebook but if I have to pay out on the airfare it won't be worth it 😞

  9. I was able to get the travel agent to rebook my cruise at the better price which has saved me a few hundred dollars that I can put into paying for shore excursions. On looking at the cost of these for both New Zealand and Alaska cruise I'm going to need quite a few dollars to cover this expense 🙂

I guess my expectations of what a 'good' travel agent should do is perhaps a bit unrealistic and wishful thinking on my part and will I take on weekly monitoring of cruise prices as in Beanb41's post as stated 'it's in my benefit to so.'

  10. Hopeful that those seasoned cruisers out there can give me so advice.  I've booked 2 cruises (Princess) through the one travel agent for next year and last year saw one of the cruises advertised for a better price ($1000 cheaper plus the 3 for free) so contacted my travel agent and asked her to assist in also getting this deal.  Which she did.  I've now seen the other cruise we've booked at a much cheaper price with Princesses 'balcony bonanza promotion' so have just emailed TA and asked her if she can get us this deal. This should relate to over $1000 saving to me so its significant.

My question to you is - I would have thought that a 'good' TA should be contacting me to advise of the latest promos especially when it can save me money.  Is it that i don't have a 'good' travel agent or is this normal for the cruiser to have to chase this up with the TA.   Any advice (or recommendations 🙂 ) would be most appreciated.

    thanks

Each cruise segment counts as one credit. Are you on the Ruby next April? If so, it looks like you'd get three credits: Sydney to Aukland, Aukland to Los Angeles, and Los Angeles to Vancouver. If you're in a suite, you'd get six credits.

thanks Geoherb and others. I'm on the cruise you mentioned above - in my captains circle it reads as '2 credits' but a couple of years back did a 14 night Mediterranean cruise - Barcelona to Rome then Rome to Athens and this was credit with 2.  I was a little confused when i saw only 2 credits showing for a 35 night cruise when i also see it as 3 segments of cruising.

Unfortunately budget has only stretched to a premium balcony not a suite so will be interesting to read of other experiences with cruise credits.

  12. We are sailing Princess from Sydney to Vancouver (35 nights) and wanting to know if anyone can tell me how many cruise credits I will acquire for this journey in relation to my Captains circle status.

I have done  a search on the boards here but been unable to find this information.

    Hoping someone can assist.

    thanks

  13. We are sailing Sydney to Vancouver in April/May 2020.  We are also looking to book from Vancouver up to Alaska.  Can anyone offer advice on "inside passage" or "voyage of glaciers" that takes you up to Anchorage or Fairbanks?  Is the Connoisseur Tour the option to go with as includes both sea and land options with most food and accommodation catered for?

What would members recommend or has been their experiences of must do's in this location?

We are looking at Princess as our first choice.

    thanks

  14. Thanks for your response please excuse my lack of understanding on this but I can't see how this would be an attractive offer ie. 1. to give up your much anticipated holiday

    2. A full refund (as OBC)  (you then use this to pay for 3.)

    3. An alternate cruise for the same length and cost.

You are not getting anything 'extra' as such, just same for same but at a different date or have I misunderstood??

    thanks

    K
