  1. Hello. An alternative would be to stay two or three nights at a hotel in The Rocks area of Sydney. It's walking distance to the Overseas Passenger Terminal. You could get an airport shuttle bus to the hotel and then you won't have to drag your luggage onto the ferry. You can then spend a day at Taronga Zoo by getting a ferry from nearby Circular Quay and on the zoo side you can hop on a quick bus ride to the zoo entrance at the top of the hill. Then make your way down the hill to the exit close to the ferry wharf. There's another zoo at Darling Harbour called Wild Life Sydney Zoo it's also a ferry ride from Circular Quay. Last time I went to Taronga Zoo, a few years ago it was disappointing as there was a lot of construction happening. I would definitely check out some recent reviews before heading there. Happy travels!
  2. Hi there. We did a NZ cruise in December and loved the Journey to Middle Earth excursion from Christchurch (Lyttelton). It was wonderful go inland to see the spectacular mountain scenery. You dont have to be a Lord of the Rings fan to enjoy this tour. In Wellington we did a private tour with Zozo, Cave to Coast Highlights, it was very good. Another ships excursion which was very enjoyable is called Piha Bush & Beach Eco Tour. I do like to get out of the city into the countryside. The NZ cruise so good we have done it 3 times! Enjoy!
  3. Hello all. We will be on the Majestic Princess around Australia cruise in March so I had a look on my app at the specially restaurant bookings section. The prices sure have gone up! Crown Grill, Bistro Sur La Mer and Harmony are all now $52.65 per head. I'm pretty sure that Crown Grill was only $29 per head a couple of weeks ago. Free restaurant only for us going forward.
  4. Hello there, how about the 5 day Southern Australia Explorer? I don't know how to link it, sorry. It's a Princess cruise from Melbourne to Adelaide on December 14 this year and other departures as well. This one goes to Kangaroo Island-lots of excursions to lovely places, Phillip Island-the daytime excursions sound good but the main attraction is to see the little penguins on the beach in the evening. The other stop is Port Lincoln and I previously did the Rugged Coastline Discovery tour which was good and also walked around the town and the shoreline which is pretty. If you want to extend your cruise to 7 days it also heads back to Melbourne. If you go back to Melbourne then you can do the Spirit of the Coorong cruise from Adelaide which is one of my all time favourite excursions. Pretty drive through wine country and gorgeous scenery on the cruise to the mouth of the Murray River. The boat goes in a lock which was interesting and we also did an easy walk through the sand dunes to see the Southern Ocean. We were served a picnic lunch on the boat. All in all a great day. It was a wonderful cruise which we did in January 2020 but didn't get to Kangaroo Island due to the terrible bushfires at the time. I've been there on a different trip though. I hope this has been helpful. Cheers!
