Oh no. Another thread that has me concerned. My family is looking at Celebrity. We’ve cruised Princess a lot and Royal a few times. It would be my brother and his wife in one cabin, my two nieces in another, and me solo. I’m up for paying the price of two passengers but not more. I think I’ll try a booking online and see what I get

This thread is making me a little nervous. We are strongly considering a cruise on Celebrity for next May. But, this type of thread was on Princess several years ago and we still loved the Princess product.
I’m hoping that since we won’t know what’s different, we will think the cruise is great.

Thanks everyone. I think I was on a website selling Celebrity cruises. Oops. Cruised Princess 15 times so know their site in and out.
we are excited to try a new cruise line. Celebrity looks amazing. Going to be doing lots of research and asking questions.

Thank you. I must have been looking at the wrong website. I appreciate the link.

I’ve never cruised Celebrity. We anre regular Princess cruisers. Our family is looking at cruises to Bermuda. I’m trying to review prices and cabin types on the Celebrity website. What might I be missing? The only thing I can see is that I either need to call them or request they call me.

In the title: Discovery 🙂
Yep. Not sure what else I could have done. Looks like many of the suites are booked well into the spring of 2025

It would help if you said what ship.
Hmmm my topic subject says Discovery Princess suites. So, it’s the Discovery Princess.

We have cruised Princess many times. We’ve done mini-suites but never a suite. We are going to book a Mexican Riviera cruise and will be treating ourselves to a suite. I’m doing research. I would greatly appreciate any info on the best suites and/or locations on this ship. Won’t be doing the highest end Sky Suite but open to info on any others. Thanks.

Thanks. They aren’t looking for a Carnival type experience for night life. But, my niece has cruised Princess and has typically found Skywalkers Bar at night to be pretty lively. They are looking for a nice ship but at least some night life.

My niece is considering this ship for her honeymoon in September. She talked to somebody who previously cruised Celebrity. They liked celebrity, but said there was virtually no nightlife. She is in her early 40s and her partner is 27. So, they do definitely want some nightlife and some activity at night. Can you give some input please. Much appreciated.

The best balcony cabins are on Caribe deck 10.

I have been on the Regal Princess. The Horizon Court was amazing. I am wondering on the newer ships Enchanted in Discovery they’re showing international market place instead of the Horizon Court. Are they set up pretty much the same are there any differences between the Horizon Court on the older royal class ships and the international market place on the newer ships.

The Sapphire! One of my very favorite Princess ships. I was t crazy about the Grand.

We booked Alaska 2022. We felt vaccines, etc would have had more time to be done.

I’m so excited! Booked cabin E424. Now those great, really not obstructed cabins are sold out on our sailing. It feels so good to book a cruise again.

We now have 22 cases in this county. In terms of age, four of the individuals diagnosed with the virus were 65 or older, six were between the ages of 50-64, eleven were between 18-19 and one was 17 or under. 12 of the 22 are young people. You know, the ones that seem to still be having parties... Gotta love the "young and bulletproof" crowd. 🙄
I’m in my 60’s but live in a city with a majority being a younger demographic. It’s rare to see anyone with a mask even though our city has one of the highest confirmed cases in our County. Go figure.

Through all this - I have realized I am no longer a die-hard cruiser. My thought was if I get on another ship or my next ship, it maybe a river cruise (I loved my last river cruise). 100 people is fine for size for me. I have no desire right now to get on a ship with 4000 other people.
My thoughts too. If I venture to cruising again it will be after a vaccine or when there is strong scientific proof of herd immunity and might be a river cruise.

Non-refundable deposits. It seems every cruise we have checked recently has a non-refundable deposit. While we typically book on what we plan on doing I really don’t like that so many cruises on Princess have a non-refundable deposits. I’m close to Elite but may wander off to another line.

I cruised on the Statendam years ago. I had a good cruise but this ship just wasn’t up to more modern ships. I haven’t sailed HAL again but have to think their newer ships are better.

I have found that it is a bit crowded by 8 on port days. But, we have experienced the line moving pretty rapidly. However, we tend to go early and take something back to our cabin. We are very early risers. 😊😊

Our first ever cruise was on Sea Princess. 10 day round trip SF/Alaska. We had the absolute tiniest cabin (A323 - 135 sq. ft) way forward. I had to go outside to change my mind. Loved the cruise and it got us totally hooked. ) Sea Princess has a wonderfully wide Promenade Deck.
Our first cruise was on the Sea Princess as well. Back in the 90’s. We thought it was a beautiful ship and loved the Promenade Deck.

I think they still have a good balance between keeping their customer base and attracting new generations of cruisers.
They certainly arent anywhere where near like RCI’s new ships 😊😊

I heard it is not the one at the marina. It is my understanding that the El CID in the Golden Zone is the better one for day passes.
Its ok. Years ago it was great. Recently the food and overall experience wasn’t great.
Discovery Princess Aft-facing Penthouse suite sofa bed question

I’m curious if anyone has used the sofa bed on the aft category S3 suites. I’m trying to find out the size and if it could comfortably sleep two people.
