  1. On our cruise (June 21, 2016), there are no shore excursions listed for any of the ports on the Carnival website. It's been that way for a couple of days. Wonder what that means... website issues or itinerary issues?

  2. We spent 11 days in this cabin in June. We are a family of four (with two 6-foot plus teenage sons ) and were very comfortable in the room. We had plenty of room to store our clothes (once we discovered the drawers at the end of the bed) and while cramped, it worked well.

The AC was fine-but we did close the drapes during the day to keep out the sun when we were in port (and not in the room anyway). In fact, my family members complained that I kept it too cold at night!

Like Coco24, we really enjoyed the location. Since there were four of us in the cabin, we took advantage of the Crow's Nest. It was a great place to read or watch the sea go by and gave us some needed space.

The balcony is much smaller than a normal balcony. There is room for only two chairs and those are at an angle-you can't sit facing the sea. It was cramped if all four of us were on the balcony at the same time, but it was okay. It would be fine for just two people.

There was more noise than I expected. We weren't that close to the elevators, but we did hear the chimes. There was also more foot traffic than I expected (since the cabin is somewhat out-of-the-way), but not bad. If you are a light sleeper it might bother you, but it wasn't a problem/annoyance for us at all.

Overall, I would book this cabin again. It worked well for our family. This is the first time since the boys were small that the four of us stayed in the same cabin and I was afraid that it would just be too much togetherness (did I mention that they are over 6 feet tall? and teenage boys?:D) but I was very pleasantly surprised. The only real negative to this cabin was the size of the balcony, but it's not a deal breaker.

  3. We will be in San Juan on a Monday night and it looks like most of the food tours do not operate on Mondays. I found one on a shore excursion website "Private Hands Culinary Trails of San Juan Experience". Has anyone tried this tour?

    Thanks!

  4. Buy yourself a lap counter. I was on the Liberty in Middle of July and was training for a marathon in Sept. I did a long run on thursday before the trip and then on Sunday the day after the cruise. I just can't do a long run on a cruise, but 5-7 miles on a short track isn't bad.

I will probably do just that. Our cruise leaves on a Sunday, and I'm scheduled to run 20 miles the Saturday before so I might just wait to do my 14 mile run when we return. I can use the short track or tread mills for the shorter distances.

  5. I feel your pain..I am training for the goofy run (so i will see you in Disney in Janurary) and we are setting out for a week long cruise on the Liberty on December 1.

I hate the treadmill for anything over 5 miles...so I will have to run the short track as well...I have asked family memebers that are cruising withus to take turns counting laps since I am sure i will lose track after the first 50 miles...they have all said they would in exchange for drinks...guess I am going to have a large bar bill by the end of the cruise for drinks i didnt drink...

    Good Luck!

Will your family drink as you run or after? If during your run, I don't know that I would trust their counting! :)

Good luck on the Goofy! Have you run the WDW marathon before?

  6. Our family is going on the Glory in December and I am training for the WDW marathon in January. It looks like the jogging track is really short (9 laps= 1 mile), which means I would need to do 126 laps to run 14 miles! Is there a better place to run on board? I don't want to hog up the treadmills in the gym (I'm not running at a record-breaking pace by any means!). Any suggestions from runners out there?

    Thanks!
