I wish I could say I did.....even if someone on Allure were to ask Flavio who was replacing him in July, he would not know because it is just too far in advance.

Keeping this list up to date, takes input from cruisers on board along with the contacts that I have made over the years.  Typically an AM does learn who is taking over from them but usually very very close to the handover.

    I know!!!

Assata will replace me on Allure on July 14. We will have 2 weeks handover starting on June 30th!

I think the time you have posted is far better than the time it has been on our last 4 Allure cruises.  The Meet N Greet has been held at 9:30 and I think 10:30 was the C&A top tier event.  It will be interesting to see what time it is for our next 2 Allure cruises.

At the moment we have the M&M at 10 on Dazzles and C&A at 10:45 in the Aqua Theater.

    it’s working well

The one we went to last week on Allure was very disappointing. There was no meeting or mingling. They handed out raffle tickets to anyone that walked in the door. Turns out a lot of people that won never heard of cruise critic, they had come early for bingo! It was in on air. The room was dark and the seating made it impossible to even see how many people were there. Only got to talk to the couple sitting next to us. Name tags, a room where people could mingle and some time allowed to mingle would have been nice.

I have changed the lounge, since I am back from Vacation. I am listening for all of your suggestion and thank to you all, it’s been an amazing attendance and great meet & mingle.

i am glad I have created this call.

For now we are holding the M&M on Dazzles at 10 am and Top Tier at 10:45 am.

    it’s been great so far.

Hope to see you some day.

Thanks for a great cruise Flavio, we were on the March 10 sailing and think you will be a great Cruise Director in the future, but you have to get on the Zipline, flow rider and rock wall before they will give you your stripes.  Isn't this what Matt was telling you, just do it and get those stripes.

    Hhahahahhahaahah

Thank you so much! But no thank you!

These stuff are for you! I love seeing people, not me !

    Hope to see you soon

    Updated  4/3/19  ---

My hope is to put update this thread every few days or at least once week.  To do that, I need cruisers (or others that somehow have 'insider information') to let me know who they come across on sailings.  HAPPY CRUISING!

What Activity Manager have you come across?  Post the name, ship and sailing date to help keep this thread as accurate as possible.

****Adventure OTS – Cian MacCormaic  (pronounced Key-in) is on board as per as cruiser on the sailing during the week of 3/14.  Keyan is from Ireland, and has been reported as ‘very entertaining’.

****Allure OTS – Kim (last name unknown) was the AM on the 2/17/19 sailing, as given to me by a cruiser on that sailing.  Unsure if Kim is just covering for Flavio Maeda’s vacation or if Kim is on for a regular contract period.

****Anthem OTS –  Hanaha (unknown last name) came on board 1/6/19,  not sure if 2 or 4 month contract.

****Brilliance OTS – Saini has been identified as onboard on 11/11. Until when…..is the question?

****Empress OTS –Eric Lopez has been spotted doing the morning show with Elvis the CD.

****Enchantment OTS – Mosese Vatuloka was onboard as of mid January 2019 sailing, based on a cruisers report to me.

****Explorer OTS – Aysy Sadrislamova is onboard from information by a cruiser who sailed on Explorer in early March 2019.

****Freedom OTS – Jerry Kubli is currently onboard.  No timeline for contract period.

****Grandeur OTS – Katrina Blair  has returned on 2/23  for a 4 month contract until  6/13.  June 13 she starts vacation and returns on 8/8 until 11/30.  Do not know who will fill in  from 6/13 until 8/8 when she is on vacation.

*****Harmony – Daniel Dornas is onboard.  No timeline for contract period.

****Independence OTS – Allison Hasler  from the UK  is onboard until June when she goes on vacation and Daniel Edwards takes over….don’t know exact date of handover.

*****Jewel OTS – Luana from Brazil will be onboard until 3/29, then Marvin Wilson (aka Marvelous Marvin) will be taking over.  Luana returns on 5/17.

*****Liberty OTS –   Bernard (unkown last name) has taken over from Enzo Matijaca (Enzo is the CD until he goes to vacation on 1/13/19).

****Majesty OTS – Mauricio Diaz is confirmed to be onboard.  I hope a current cruiser might be able to ask him how long his contract is for.  That would be helpful.

*****Mariner OTS –  Alex Paul signed on to the ship on 3/25/19 for a 4 month contract.

*****Navigator OTS –  Daniel Edwards is onboard. Probably started with the relaunch after drydock, perhaps for a 4 month contract until July.

*****Oasis OTS –  Nick has taken over for Tresha Robb who might be on vacation currently.

***** Ovation – Christopher Turdo should be onboard effective on the March 8 sailing from Sydney.  He will be on Ovation until 5/13/19.

*****Quantum – Who is the current AM on Quantum?

*****Radiance OTS –  Emma from the UK (unknown last name) has been spotted in Early February 2019.  No information on when she started….just that she and her CD Cuddy worked well together.

**** Rhapsody OTS – Gemma Frances was onboard the sailing that completed on 3/2/19.  No information on when started or for how long.

**** Serenade OTS – Renato Arenas took over 12/10/18.   It is probably a 4 month contract since, Alison Hasler who he took over from is expecting a new assignment on a bigger ship, when she returns from vacation.

**** Symphony OTS – Katy McCullagh  returned on 2/23 for a 4 month contract.

***** Vision OTS – Cecy Del Razo onboard as of 2/23/19

*****Voyager OTS – Troy Zhang was onboard earlier this month (per CD Michelle). Unknown who will replace him when he is on vacation.

I am back on Allure! Hehehe Flavio Here.

Kim went to Liberty after covering my vacation!

I love this, this is where I see where O am going next! Heheheeheh

    Hi Flavio,

We are on the April 28, 2019 Allure cruise. We are not a very big Cruise Critic Group since many CC members have been solicited over to some exclusive FB page/group.

We have planned a Cruise Critic Slot Pull for our members and would like to know what time and place the Cruise Critic Meet and Mingle and the Top Tier event is planned for, so that we can plan the slot pull accordingly. The casino manager/host advised for 12 noon. Was wondering if that was a good time

As a Cruise Critic member, we truly appreciate what the Meet and Mingle hosts do for us. Thank you.

Thank you so much for mentioning. Cruise Critics meeting are held normally on first day at Sea. At 10 AM, on Dazzles dk 8.

Top Tier is on Deck 6 Boardwalk. But it is still too early to have 100% confirmation.

Since I have changed the venue and time and also started to post here, it’s been well attended and fun to meet and mingle with you all!

    Hope it could help you.

i do not spend too much time in here, but happened to read your post .

safe travels and see you soon 😉

I would like to be aware of where and when the Mingle will occur.  Simple request, but have never been informed on past cruises OR I am missing something I am to do to complete the connection.  I love meeting people, but need an invite please.

I am not sure, but I think you must sign up here to ger your name in the list of invitations. The others members might be better to help you to find the link. On Allure it is always listed on the Cruise Compass, but it will always be on the 1st day at sea.

Venue is an important aspect.  Places like On-Air or the theatre do not provide an ability to really mingle.  It's been awhile since I've sailed on RCI, but the last few meet and mingles, it seemed like they just came in, gave out prizes, and then everyone left.  it was disappointing.  That said, I've never seen a M&M on other lines like Princess so I guess it's all relative.

I'd like to see the roll call host who organizes everyone be able to work closely with the onboard M&M host and provide more opportunities to mingle, especially for those of us that might be shy in person and don't really know others sailing.  It seemed cliquish, although I know if I were more assertive, that others would be inclusive.

Not related to the onboard M&M, but my more satisfying roll call events have been when we all met somewhere the night prior in the port.  That helped the M&M onboard and other events.  It's nice to see people you recognize while onboard.

Thank you for taking the time to create this thread and listening to suggestions.

I've attended meet and mingles that have ranged from around 20 participants to a couple of hundred so appreciate that you have to take this into account when you are planning it. When there are not too many people it's nice to have everyone introduce themselves with screen name and where they are from.

As far as prizes, they are fine, I'm just pleased if I occasionally win! I really like the parties where a few of the officers turn up and talk to us, I find this happens much more often on other lines than on RCL and I think it makes guests feel valued.

I like the 10am/11am time slot, also it's nice not to have something else scheduled in the venue immediately afterwards so it gives us time to meet and mingle on our own for longer.

Adventure (and maybe some other ships?) used to hold a CC lunch on the TAs midway through the cruise and it was really nice, haven't seem anything like this for a few years.

The other problem seems to be that there are always a few people that don't get their invite, if there is some way of sorting this it would be good.

    Julie

The invitation is sent to a list that the website provides, there is no way to guess who is cruising from the CC if people do not sign up on the website.

Wht I do, I add the information on the Cruise Compass so entire ship can see it.

M&M haven’t been popular nowadays, people always find something more interesting to do on a ship like Allure. What I do I set the M&M right before Crown & Anchor event and direct all the M&M to the event after the formalities so they can meet and talk to all the senior officers, even the Captain.

on a ship with the size of Allure, it would be almost impossible to get officers and the Captain on an event. Not because they do not care but because it is one of the largest ship, and yes it is way busier to run a ship with this size. I could change the time. But I don’t think officers won’t be there.

I will also see the availability of venues and if I can chanhe it.

At the moment we hold the party at the On Air at 10:30 am and C&A event at 11:45 am on the 1st day at Sea.

I am reading all the suggestions and surely will make some changes. At the moment I am on vacation, but the moment I am back, your precious ideas will be considered.

thank you so much to all

That's a wonderful gesture from you!  I have been finding that several M&M hosts have never even pulled up roll calls for that cruise, and know very little about CC.  Shame...it's a good way to get the gist of some issues.  🙂  Only takes a few minutes to check the current roll call each day.  Good for you!  🙂

Thank you so much. How can I check this? “Pull up roll call” Heheheh I am so new to this!

I have reminded the LA on Oasis a couple of times.  When they hand out a prize to a participant, she needs to ask them their screen name!  She just asks "What is your name and where are you from?"   Would be nice to put a familiar name to the face on the roll call.  Like we know who "George from Chicago" is.  😮 She had no idea what a screen name is.  :classic_blink:

Reason why I have signed up myself, so I can understand what do you guys expect. A part from that it is a great feedback! I am loving it

    Activites/Cruise Director Staff

Judging by some of what I've read here, it looks like cruise director Jimmy had just returned to the Allure. He was so much fun all week. His activities manager, Flavio, was hilarious along side him. The two of them were some of the best cruise staff we can remember.

80s night turned out to be an absolute blast. The entire promenade was filled with people dancing and they brought out the disco diva's, macho men, and some of the Mama Mia actors/actresses came out and performed.

The Love and Marriage game show turned out to be hilarious as usual. This was also the first time I had attended the Quest! game show and oh man, it was hilarious. Studio B was so loud and every one was so into the game. If you haven't been to Quest I highly recommend going, but don't take your kids!

The only paid activity we did on board was the Sushi making class, which was entirely worth the $30 per person. The class is held at 10 am in Izumi with the chefs who work there. They give you all the normal ingredients and each person got to make 4-5 rolls. It's well over $30 worth of sushi and was a great way to provide ourselves with lunch and get a lesson in sushi making on top of it.
