  1. I believe some TA offers a Sip & Sale deal and another offers the 3-Day Sale (right before) Sip & Sail. The 3-Day sale includes gratuities and reduced deposits in addition to the drink package.
  2. Don’t know what the menu said but in Sept on Eclipse it was 8.
  3. Last year (mid-May) on our Princess cruise we signed up for the Tracy's Arm but could get there because of the ice, so we did the alternate Endicott Arm. We really enjoyed this excursion. This year (early Sept) we went back to Alaska on Celebrity. Since we enjoyed the excursion we did it again. This time we were able to get up Tracy's Arm to see Southern Dawes glacier and again enjoyed it very much. What I can also tell you is on both trips we saw quite a few whales. The captain has some time figured in to the schedule to and from the glacier to stop for whales or wildlife and we stopped a number of time on both excursions.
  4. We just got off the Eclipse on Sunday - 7 Day Alaska cruise - the offer was posted at most of the bars. We had a beverage package so didn't need it but I noticed it very early in the cruise.
  5. I recently called to have one of our trips re-fared for a lower price. All was done with no problem, but I am curious what is involved, and/or the process required from a TA to do a re-faring. A little to my surprise, my TA (which is a major TA) said they had to call Celebrity (which she did while I was on hold and came back a few minutes confirming the re-faring). Maybe a question for some TAs, is this normal? I always envisioned a TA would simply go into the ‘system’, enter some simple code, and whala it would be re-fared. I would not have expected a TA having to make a call to Celebrity. I know the TA works for the customers but I’m curious how easy (or difficult) is the re-faring process is for a TA.
  6. Thanks for sharing. We've never cruised on Crystal, always been with Celebrity. We value the amenities so we typically purchase them. But with the Celebrity prices so high, especially considering the amenities, we can upgrade to Crystal for about the same price (and get the bonus of some new itineraries).
