This is scary. How does one get their prescription drugs authenticated by the Secretary of State for both the state and the country???? Yikes!!!

We haven't stayed there yet but in about 2 months we will be staying there. I will try and remember to post after we have been if you still need some info. I am interested in what responses you get now.

I'd really appreciate knowing more about it. Dubai is a total mystery to me. I did read that the concierge lounge at the JW Dubai is one of their best.

We're booked here in April 2015 and wondered if anyone had stayed there. We've never been to Dubai before and wondered about the location, hotel itself, etc.

Any help and advice would be appreciated.

My DH and I are both senior citizens and take various meds every day, all are prescriptions and include some pain meds. We have heard that it is very difficult to bring prescription meds into Dubai. We leave on an 18 day cruise plus a few days there and on the other end. Has anyone had experience with this? Are there RX drugs that are not allowed??Any help and guidance would be appreciated.

Just wondering if these ports are similar to Alaskan and Pacific Island cruise ports where there you can choose tour operators at the port. Arriving September.

If you haven't been to Pisa or Florence, they are excellent to see in a day. There are great tours available; time to see the tower of Pisa and the town; then to Florence where you can see David, or one of the other museums or wander around the beautiful city.

This was great to read and I appreciated finding it. A friend of mine is sailing on Grandeur with her husband and 2 children, ages 4 and 6. We sail on Celebrity and have only been on 3 RCCL ships, but not on this one.

What is there for kids to do? Do they have a basketball court? Mini golf? I think there is a rock climbing wall and ping pong and of course the pool. Anything special for the kids?

Also, they are in an ocean view room. Any idea what they are like?

Never been to Vancouver. But we're going to be there 10/10/08 - 10/12/08 before our wine cruise on the Mercury. I'm looking for a relatively inexpensive hotel close to ________ ....whatever one should be close to in Vancouver. (See how little I know about this city?:o All I have heard is that it is beautiful and not to be missed!)

Also - :confused: what to do? what not to miss? What's the best way to see the city? Where to eat? How far from the port is central Vancouver?

Any help that you can give me will be gratefully appreciated. :)
