  1. Hello, We will be at the Kodiak port for a day this October. We would like to get over to nearby Katmai National Park. It's just across a strait from Kodiak Island, but it doesn't appear that there are any ferries or even floatplane flights that go directly there. The only thing I could find is a flight all the way back to Anchorage, and then another to King Salmon, which is closer to Katmai. Does anyone know of a better way to get over to the park and back in a day? Thanks
  2. Since some have been following this, I will let you know what we've decided. Ohio says they send ballots out a month before the election. That would be around October 5. We embark on October 3. Our daughter can watch for it and forward it, but of course we don’t know exactly when that will be (possibly Oct. 8, 9 or 10). Now, I’m thinking that she might possibly be able to get it to Seward by Oct. 14 by FedEx. If that will work out, we can just pick it up at the Seward FedEx office and then return it. That's the plan, anyway. Thanks again, everyone.
  3. We are boarding Regatta on 10/3. As I mentioned, I will check with O about their port agents. Thanks.
  4. This sounds like the most workable solution so far. I will check with O. And yes, my wife and I are dedicated. It's the most critically important election......... since the last one 🙂
  5. Thanks for the helpful thoughts and ideas. I will be gone over a month prior to election day. I think I will have to have someone pick up the mailed absentee ballot at my home and forward it to someplace where I can receive it. I like the idea of doing this in Tokyo, but I don't know anyone there. Mostly, I was wondering if it's possible to have it sent someplace where the ship can load it on board and then deliver it to me.
  6. Hello, I will be on board the Regatta during the U.S. election this November 5. I can ask my state, Ohio, to send an absentee ballot. Is it possible to receive (and then send) something like this onboard? If so, does anyone know the appropriate address?
  7. Yes, we understood it to be two cruises at the time we booked (that was onboard a previous cruise). We also had a similar experience as you when we graduated to bronze during the second of B2B cruises. Can't remember whether we needed to replace our room card keys. Thanks.
  8. It's true that we saved money with one voyage vs two, and the O Ambassador did explain that to us. She also noted that we'd get silver next time. But once again, this wasn't our understanding when we first booked it. And we'll also be one cruise further away from silver (and later) benefits. Thanks again for the helpful information.
  9. That seems to jibe with what we were told. But that's not the way it was in the past. Thanks.
  10. Based on our cruise history, we expected to graduate from Bronze Level to Silver Level on our last cruise. This recent one was back-to-back, and we thought the change would occur when the second part of the cruise began. Our Cruise Ambassador surprised us by informing us that we only received one credit for this entire cruise because it had been booked that way. This had not been our understanding because of what we'd been told and since we were required to pay two deposits. Since returning home, we have tried to call the Oceania Guest Relations number and have also tried to email them. Their initial email response was that it may take up to six weeks for them to look at it. It has now been more than six weeks and they haven't responded. Does anyone know how best to reach them? Thanks.
