  1. OK - clearly a first baby!

Not sure what activities you think could be offered for a 9 month old baby?

She will be 9 months old - 9 month old babies crawl around, play with & chew on appropriate sized bright colored toys, get spoon fed, play peek-a-boo, and drool a lot. They are generally happy and good natured (in fact my favorite baby age) but can get fussy with teething issues.

That is what they do. If the ship you are on has pool specifically for babies in diapers then she will enjoy that - she will not be allowed in any of the other pools.

Keep in mind cruising with her will be a totally different cruising experience for you.

  2. We travel with a carry on sized bag each. DH has a backpack & I have a big a$$ purse. I use packing folders & cubes - those are put in the drawers and the contents left in them. I don't spread odds & ends in various drawers & cupboards around the room. I am very neat and put things away after use - I can't stand crap all over the counter or desk top. My big purse goes in the closet and I have a small one I carry on the ship or in port. Our passports are kept with me. I could re-pack in about 15 minutes! Travel details are kept in a travel app & files I can access from several devices.

  3. Depending on the itinerary you may not be able to board at your first port. If you are on a closed loop cruise in the US (departing & returning to the same US port) and your first port is a US port - Key West or many Alaska cruises - you can not board there it is a violation of the PVSA. I would take an evening or red eye flight and arrive late if at all possible - something that will buy some extra time if there is a problem with your flight

  4.

...After chatting about it again, we decided to switch our reservation AGAIN for tomorrow night from Giovanni's back to Chops. LOL. We really felt that we had had much better service at Chops and had enjoyed the food more. ...

    So glad you switched back!

"The drinks took a long time to come out though. 20 minutes from when we ordered...we were almost twitching!! Ha ha."

OMG - this will be me in 30 days!

  5. It's probably around 400 or so. Higher thread counts don't automatically make a good sheet....it's sort of like sunscreen...anything over 30 SPF doesn't double your protection at all, but it DOES double the price!

How nice a sheet feels depends on the type of thread...not how many there are per sq. inch!

Says you, CB. Guess you don't know sheets that well OR your sunscreen.............

Thread count is just one factor in bed linen - the type of thread, the weave, and the finish are very important in the overall feel of a sheet - even how it is laundered makes a huge difference or if they are ironed or not. I owned a B&B and bought a LOT of linen. It was frequently a topic at breakfast!

  6. Breat post and I agree with mos except the guide's name as I don't know that spedific quide. Amsterdam is a wonderful citty t o walk and also.......... by all merans, be sure to see Night Watch.

    "get an AMS guide book"

Let me clarify - not a specific guide book - AMS = Amsterdam

sorry for the confusion - sometimes I'm a lazy typist!

    and Thank you!

  7. A lot will depend on what you are doing in each place. If you need to pay a tour company in cash then hit an ATM once you arrive in Columbia. Check with the tour company in your other destinations on their currency requirements but as a rule ATM debit cards are the cheapest way to go.

Mexico will accept dollars no problem as will Nicaragua and many places in Costa Rica.
