For both Radiance and Ovation?
Based on post #3 on this thread, and comments I've seen on other threads, it was supposed to be today, but nothing on the website yet....surprise, surprise.
-
No offense, but can I ask why you are asking? To me it sounds like you're asking how big a diamond you need to buy to get that free glass of champagne people talk about.
As soon as someone starts a sentence, "No offense", be prepared to be offensive. No reason for this statement, it was just a question, just like most of us would ask.
-
I don't know if this is the thread, but it does have some interesting suggestions about what to talk about and what to keep to yourself. Perhaps it will help a bit:
Found another one that talks a lot about creating booklets for new group cruisers:
-
software that automatically checks for fare reductions daily. .
I'm glad that you have this available to you. Not all TAs do.
-
Most larger TA's don't have the time to check each person's reservation, then the cruise, then the promotions every day. Due to the internet, most of the info is available to all and you can find it yourself and let them know you found xyz changes. Not making excuses for her, but I'm sure you folks are not their only client. I too would speak to a supervisor and find out what the agency feels is their responsibility, don't just assume they will do this.
Secondly, speaking of assuming, you booked with them on the vague promise of OBC and possible other swag. Nothing is sure until it's in writing. I know you will not make that mistake again. We have all made similar mistakes.
Third, people talk about the TA getting their commission.... This is not paid by you. Your price is no different TA or not. If using a TA the travel company pays their profit. If the TA gives you OBC or other prizes, in most cases, they had to purchase them and that purchase came out of their commission profit.
Lastly, you may have a fight to get rid of the TA. They have to sign off of being let go. Translation, they have to say, ok we will give up our money. If you can prove to Royal that the TA has not done at least the minimums of their job, you can get them to take the reservation back.
I WAS a TA on a part time basis, in a large agency for several years.
Added: you would have to cancel and rebook unless you can get Royal to take the reservation back

Logged in just fine. I use a separate browser, Microsoft Edge, just for Royal's site. I have it set to clear the cache and the cookies as soon as I close the browser. This has eliminated all problems with getting logged in, blank pages, non-updated pages, etc..

You can order that at any bar with the soda package
No, Coke with a lime in it, is not Coke Lime. Totally different flavor.

Well it's Alaska very lite. Not worth the money in my opinion.
But there are many of us that live on the West Coast that had to fly to Bayonne or China to take a Quantum class cruise. We have done Alaska and it was amazing and would love to go again but get bored on smaller ships.
Only having an hour +/- flight to be on Ovation is very appealing. Savings on flight will guarantee the "suite" life.

I am very sorry that this happened to you but you are absolutely not correct. You MAY bring manufacturer sealed food such as crackers, peanut butter etc. It must be in the sealed bag and unopened. You may not have a ziplock bag with food.
Again...sorry that happened to you but just want the OP to know it is ok.
Thanks!
deleted.....not worth it

Were you concerned about the Hepatitis A outbreak in San Francisco?
Our family member is a health care provider and they are very concerned about us.
I haven't seen any warnings from RCCL
.
we live 90 miles from SF and have heard nothing about an outbreak. We were there last weekend and all was fine. We board in the morning as well, flying into Seattle in the AM

You might consider something like this. It protects your luggage and can be used more than once:
We use these. They are great and make me feel better about the bag not splitting a zipper. They are TSA compliant.
-
I like it. Easy to compare same cabin category over a set time frame. Have had no problems at all.
I also use one browser for RCL viewing only. I normally use Waterfox (64 bit version of Firefox). I now have Edge set up to www.rccl.com as the home page. Then every time I close it, I have it set to clear the cache and cookies. Absolutely no problem viewing my reservations, searching or logging in. Since there are so many different browsers, it's easy to have one dedicated site just to eliminate the frustrations.

1/1 We were assigned a GS on our upcoming Explorer cruise. Went from balcony to Cat W when price got to $300 to upgrade. Very surprised and an unexpected bonus.
-
We are on Explorer in September. I don't know where on the ship the tour actually goes, but it is showing in my cruise planner as an activity you can pre-book at $89.00 pp

I disagree with that. New in a legal sense is different from unused. That is why you see the term "new and unused" together in the same phrase. Unused is unused. But there is a period after which something that is new and unused is no longer new. In the equipment industry, this is commonly three years. Certainly, something that is 8 years old is no longer new. And, critical for this particular situation, a new model came out in 2013.
And as a good consumer, you should do your due diligence and check out the product, compare prices and models before you spend money like that. It seems to be a matter of asking the right questions of the sales person and your own investigations.
Also, as a "Diamond", as the OP is stating, you would think he would know after that many cruises, that the concessions are not run by RCL proper. I am not a "cheerleader" as some will claim, but I do know to check before I buy expensive items.
-
I'm not sure I understand. Brand new doesn't necessarily mean made this year. It means it has never been used by anyone else. Unless it has a manufacture date on it, the sales person would have no idea.
-
I would take a later flight home if you can . What time does RCI recommend for flights to leave at. The cruise port is about an hour from pier. Being a Friday morning your probably closer to two hours to to the airport. Seattle airport security can be a zoo in the morning to get thru security.
RCL recommends after 11:30. Google maps shows a 30 minute drive from Port of Seattle to SeaTac. We have done this route before and even on a commute day, it wasn't more than 40 minutes. We are on the Sept 22nd sailing and have our flight for 11:40.

Sailing on Explorer of the Seas in September. Looking to take a tour of Alcatraz and City Tour. Arrival time is 8:00 AM and tour is 9:30 AM.
Are you on the Sept 22nd sailing (in SF on the 25/26th)? If yes, we would be happy to meet with you on the ship and get you over to the ferry to save the trip to Union Square. We go to SF often since we live local. This could save you time/money.
If you're interested, come to our roll call http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2322698

Are you my X-wife? (She remembers everything!)
Ha! No, I just did a query on the first cabin and it was the 2nd or third result. :p Sorry, can't help with the 2nd question
-
You asked the first question back in April. Here are the answers from that thread:
-
sorry, accidental post
-
You need to go to the last page of the thread. You are looking at the first page. I do not show the signatures so I see the last page as 22. If you have signatures on, it is probably 60 or 70 I guess.

Its def an option I will look at if the special needs department can not help me. We were going to do this last year but he could not stand the taste of the milk out of these - plus the ship was able to help us so it all worked out. It will be about 14 months since our last cruise so that time makes a huge difference to a little one so worse case I slowly introduce him to this. I would need to take roughly 14# on with me, since they are only a quart, so Ill need a suitcase just for the milk :/
Im also thinking I could order a crap load of glasses on the first day and put the milk in large thermoses and keep it in the fridge. I could probably do this twice while onboard and then only have to spend $16 in fees vs paying the fee twice daily.
That actually sounds like a pretty smart idea.
-
I am not allowed to bring anything perishable on the ship. We can bring our own snacks and food for him but with the stipulation that it is not perishable.
There is shelf stable almond, coconut, cashew milk that does not require refrigeration, therefore not classified as "perishable". These would be no different than a juice box or Capri Sun type drink. Put those in your suitcase and carry them on board and refrigerate then. Maybe get your son used to the taste beforehand because it does taste a little bit different.
Ovation of the seas Alaska 2019!
in Royal Caribbean International

Perhaps they were referencing just Ovation. Either way, nothing for Alaska itineraries in 2019. We are looking forward to a suite on Ovation and wanted to book first day for best selection/price. But, as seems to be the norm lately, nothing available.
Maybe one of our resident TA's can see if the itineraries are able to be booked as I am no longer a TA and don't have access.
