  1. We just received our upgrade to a Vista Suite on our upcoming 17-Day transatlantic cruise! We were previously booked in a Mini Suite. This will be our first time traveling in a full suite. What are the best benefits we should make sure to partake in? We are going to be on the Island Princess traveling from Ft. Lauderdale to the UK!

I notice there is no thermal pool on the Island Princess. Are there still other benefits in the spa that we can partake in? First time on the Island Princess as well. Are there steam rooms or sauna rooms?

I notice that we automatically receive Reserve Dining for this trip. The first night the Specialty Dining should be included? Do we have to make a reservation once we board the ship or should we head right over whenever we are ready for dinner? Any recommendations for the Bayou Steakhouse? I noticed there is no Crown Grille, our usual staple!

Does the breakfast in Sabatini's have any special items added to it? Or would it be a similar menu as the MDR. Just with the specialty dining ambiance? I read there are complimentary mimosas served in Sabatini's for breakfast?  I know for Princess Plus they are implementing better seats for shows as well. Are those available to suite passengers as well? And where do we get the welcome glass of bubbly at the start of the voyage?

Thank you for all the tips and tricks! Really excited to be enjoying this upgraded room, especially for this transatlantic with 10+ sea days!

  2. I am currently booked on a Mini-suite for a 17 Day transatlantic on the Island Princess. Received the opportunity to upgrade to club class for $205pp! Does the offer match a value of a 17-Day cruise? We have never experienced club class, and we received an exceptional deal on this room already. Thanks ahead of time for the input!

I understand the main perks are the dining and midship area! Just wanted to see if $205 seemed to be fair value for a 17 day cruise.

If you get a chance, could you ask the IC baristas if they are selling the New Grounds coffee package?  It’s the package that has 15 specialty coffees/teas, if so what is the current price?  It’s not showing on the website.

    TIA

I am waiting for my Iced Chai tea as I type. The barista said the coffee plan is the same as before and the price is around $36!

  4. Just boarded the Discovery Princess today, February 20th. I waited to purchase the Princess Plus when I got onboard. For our 5 night Cabo cruise, I had $250 OBC and was able to apply it to purchasing the $300 Princess Plus package. The big problem was the internet. When buying the Princess Plus package on board, I dont think the Medallion Net login registered, so had to go to the Cafe and have a crew member make sure my account had internet.

Pre-cruise, the Medallion Net price was $100 for 5 nights four devices (Elite member). Once I got on board, the internet was only $62.75 for four devices. It might be a happy accident. After I signed up for Princess Plus, I only had to pay $25 more to upgrade the included 1-device internet to the 4-device internet. I'm not sure why internet was so much more expensive pre-cruise.

I think most of the staff are confused. I tried ordering a Espresso Martini and staff told me that I would have to pay the difference even though it states that the Princess Plus covers $15 from today onwards. The difference hasn't shown up in my account, so that's a win! Better drink as many Espresso Martinis before the price gets hiked.

The gelato man is equally confused. He didn't know if the special Amaretto dessert with Disarono liquer counted towards the two special desserts. He said he would have to charge $7.50. He thought the plans would be updated 2/25, so I think the crew is equally confused and there comes some delays. The special gelato sundae with alcohol also has not shown up in my folio yet, so I believe it has been counted in the Princess Plus package.

One last thing with the crew being confused, ordering through the app for a mango margarita in the Piazza took forever. After 1.5 hours of waiting, we decided to leave the Piazza; maybe they had lost our order. While in the MDR a staff came two hours after we placed our order with the Mango Margarita. Big big delays on board. Haven't signed up for a fitness class yet. Will have to look into it tomorrow!

Hope I can make this clear...... I had Princess information on two different documents

One was successful in getting my OBC

    shareholderbenefit@princesscruises.com      This email worked

    and

SBPCL@princesscruises.com   .  This email did not work

Faxing did not work for me.  A princess rep told me to email to the one that worked

Was also told email was the best way to get credit processed.

Maybe one document was old.... maybe one was b4 covid...  maybe one had covid  lol

We stockholder want our OBC  That is the only reason we bought this stock years ago.

I've been trying to email the first address that you included, but I keep getting an error that there is no such recipient. I appreciate your help on this matter!

    Hello Fred!

I was wondering if you could send me the information as well. We booked the cruise just last week and are sailing this Saturday! Still have not been able to receive the credit through email or fax. Thank you so much!

Please email me: andysleung94 (at) gmail (dot) com!

Thank you so much ahead of time!

I had the same issue. I tried the chat function and they were not able to help me, after telling me log out, try another card, etc,… I called my Princess vacation planner and she was able to do it for me.
if you don’t use one, you could call customer service and they will also do it for you.
I’ve heard you can still get the reduced price on the boarding day only, but I’m not sure.

    Thank you so much!

I'm sailing tomorrow and haven't been able to get in touch with anybody from Princess. Hopefully I am able to still get the good price when I board tomorrow. I have taken screenshots of the error message.

  8. I've been trying all night to purchase the multi device, entire voyage plan on the medallion class app. To no avail. I have tried three different credit cards. I keep receiving this failure message that my credit card number inputted might be wrong. I talked with my credit card company and they say there is no error on my bank's part. I don't know what to do.

Has anybody experienced this before on the app? Will I be able to still receive the same pre-purchase price when I get on board? Is there any other way to pre-purchase internet other than through the app? Thank you for everybody's help!

Did they make you go to the naughty room to pick up that suitcase.  I thought we were not  supposed  to check in or give to the porter those canned soft drinks, like we have always done in the past.
Thanks for letting me know.  We will do the same 😛

Oh! I completely forgot. Nope! I just checked it right in and it came directly to my room!

  10. What happens in the scenario that you do test positive for COVID on the ship?

I read the FAQ and understand that you will be treated in isolation, but does that only remain until the end of your sailing? Or is there a possibility you will need to be isolated for two weeks?

I imagine even if you do test positive, they should let you disembark once your cruise is over right?

  11. Yesterday, I just booked the November 1st sailing of the Grand Princess five days out from sailing. I emailed and faxed the shareholder form at the same time. Today, I saw the additional OBC! Would recommend sending on both fax and email. Lucky I got the OBC even five days before the cruise sails!

I have 115 carnival shares which I bought in my SIPP (pension), would these qualify and if so how do I go about getting the credit etc? Thanks

I just bought 100 stock a week ago and got the OBC when i faxed the stock purchase confirmation to Princess. When I faxed it this past Friday, it took less than 30 minutes for me to see the additional $250 OBC on my upcoming cruise! Super easy. Just gotta fax the proof of stock along with your name, booking #, ship and departure date to 661-753-0180!

  13. This review lost credibility for me after I read that the bread was no good. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Jokes aside, we were on this cruise as well. Our disembark time was 8:20. (Light Blue 3) if possible, I'd highly suggest downloading Uber or another rideshare service! We got right off the ship and called an Uber. The driver was there 5-6 minutes later, and we paid $43 for a trip to LaGuardia. It's even a better deal if you can fill the car, but we only had two passengers!

  14. Cannot use his service as it must be through one of three International Airports to be valid and complete. As I said before in this thread, Princess charged me a total of $33 dollars to my account in July. In three days I will be back on another Princess port stop here and will see exactly what the fee is again.
Many thanks! I guess the only other option would be to actually get a visa in my passport from an actual embassy or get one of those loose leaf visas :(
