Dear Fly, Alas, but her and 'our' dream lives on.

The article is four years old.
Dear Earthling, The idea is as fresh today, as any dream can be.

Are there any Pinnacles like this lady?

Dear Thor, I have discovered that base prices from different sources are about the same (within $100). It is just the added perks that make the difference, On Board Credit or specialty dining thrown in. An educated consumer can be a happier camper. I have been able to find some gems among these boards, but you have to weed out the usual characters. This post of yours was great. I found 19 on this thread that were of no help to you or me.

Dear Thor, Try calling a online discounter to get a price and compare it to your TA's price.

Dear Thor, Anything you post will be used against you. Beware!
Dear Thor, BS means BE SMART ! Many on these boards are unsympathetic when it comes to attacks on their beloved RCCL. Why ? I have no idea. You have a legitimate gripe. Godspeed!

Dear Rhino, Do not believe Explorer has the suite amenities , let alone the deck space to provide a Key program. Your senior advisor may be right. Try MM post #9 suggestions, she is occasionally right.

There is only one, 100% way the ship will always wait for your return from an excursion of any sort. Take the captain with you.

Thank you so much, everyone.
We decided to go on the Divina, on an 11-day. We will be at sea on our actual 10th anniversary. We leave in 360 days! Lol.... I'm not setting up the countdown clock just yet.
Hope it is YC.

I have a cruise booked next month using a TA for the Adventure of the Seas. We are in a GS and have $750 OBC for a $6000 Grand Suite. Not bad if I must say so.
Dear Babe, Is The $750 OBC from your TA or a combo from TA and cruise line?

I don't wear any type of loyalty badge, and don't wear my room key on a lanyard. There is no way to determine my status or accommodation by simply looking at me. I know others do the same, so how can folks make generalizations that someone is a Pinnacle, D+, in a suite in a interior, etc. We rarely, even if asked, tell the number of cruises or points. No one has EVER asked us about the type of accommodation we are in.

Dear 1, Your post is not the point of our post/thread. The point is that NSPP take up space originally designed for suite paying guests. We are sure that they are all sweet and nice like you.

Dear John, We were on the Allure last summer 2017 and had a wonderful time in CK. This summer on the Allure something was amiss in the CK, overcrowded, overworked, soiled uniforms. We decided to not return to the Allure and instead booked the Symphony. Departure morning all suite guests assembled in the SL and a lovely couple who had been on the Allure for one month was saying their goodbyes to the staff, when the CK chef came out of his galley to voice his goodbye to them. The Chef said "See you soon" and she said to the chef , "Yes, but not on this ship!" What was it? We thought nothing of it until recently reading these boards about Pinnacles. They are the bane of the suite booking passengers. We do not wish to gamble with our vacation time, hoping there will not be many NSPP on board the cruise we pick. Thank you for your consideration.

Dear All, Thank you for your feed-back on NSPP and cruise dates and alternatives. It appears that we are sort of stuck with a non-refundable deposit of $700, which you all so ' nicely' educated us in our other thread "BEWARE RCCL". Had it been a refundable deposit we would be on the phone today cancelling this cruise on Symphony due to the problems you have elucidated in this thread. Why take a chance with RCCL/RCI , when other just as nice options exists.

Dear Andy, Good answer. Thank you.

Dear All, It is not fun being treated like a second class passenger at any time. But to be treated like one when paying top dollar for a suite during prime season cruise time is even worse.

-
Dear Babe, Then what do you suggest is the reason? We did not experience any problem like this on another Suite Venue cruise line at any time during the 10 day cruise during Christmas week.
-
Dear All, We are limited to only the mega ships offering the 'ship within a ship' concept sailing out of south Florida. We no longer fly. This Pinnacle phenomenon was not disclosed to us when we booked a Grand Suite on board the Allure this summer. We only found out from these CC board posters, that Non-Suite Paying Pinnacles (NSPP) have precedence over actual paying suite guests, in every venue. The reserved theatre seating can be easily alleviated by adding another row, but the dinner seating time of one poster to these boards requested a dinner time of 6:30 every evening (like we would REQUIRE), but had to wait because several NSPP showed up.

Yes, a kindred spirit no doubt. We would like to know why they may be 'gluttons for such punishment' ? We just found out about this problem on these boards. We also booked a suite and found out it was a non-refundable when we changed the date and we were charged $200 this month for the change of date. On top of the threat of losing the $500 deposit which you so nicely replied to in our other post "BEWARE RCCL". Now we read about this Pinnacle brouhaha and the overcrowding of suite venues. We just started cruising again after a 20 year hiatus. We were cruised out ( a type of cruise burn-out) and were enticed back by the 'new' 'ship within a ship' concept.

Does any one have past information as to top Pinnacle passenger dates? Those dates to avoid booking a suite for fear of being crowed out of suite venues? Does anyone have an answer to my Title : Why book a suite to begin with if there are too many Pinnacles on board?

Why eat 'hamburger 'when you are offered 'filet mignon'? Unless you eat filet every day. Outside the YC you can eat all the hot dogs and hamburgers you want. I guess the guests of the YC expect a little something 'different'. And the world does not revolve solely around American tastes alone, though we might think so. P.S. They had french fries at 'One'.

Dear Dr., Was that $1575 for one week or B2B on the CLS? We live in Florida, any hints?
-
Dear O, Thank you again for your post. We forwarded it to our TA. We have 7 upcoming bookings with her.
-
From what our TA tells us it is a sliding scale on what she can give us in obc. Another booking for $9071 she gave us $350.

On the Divina this summer there were 2 muster drills. The fiasco of the first days and another more subtle muster drill the following day for those that 'missed' day one's. Never saw that before.
