  1. I check my account everyday whether I charge anything or not. How else could you catch erroneous charges if you don't make sure that there is nothing charged to the account?

Mistakes happen and with all the cruises and all the cruisers coming through each ship each day purchasing stuff, there are bound to be errors.

I have gone to guest relations to dispute charges in the past and it was taken care of right away.

It's the same as checking your credit card and bank statements to make sure nothing is charged that you didn't purchase - whether you used the cards, ATM etc or not.

  2. I am sailing on Liberty of the Seas on October 17th. I emailed Club Royale today and they emailed me back that they had contacted the Liberty casino host and they would NOT be open while in port at Bermuda. Of course they apologized for any inconvenience, but you would think that a sailing that is having a $10,000 slot tournament on it would be open as presumably there would be more gamblers on this sailing.

Mary - I agree with you as we are sailing Oct 3rd on a casino sponsored golf tournament cruise. My husband spends a lot of time in the casino and we were disappointed that they were not open the night we are in Bermuda since it is a "casino" sponsored cruise. I love the fact that it goes out of NJ but surprised at the fact that out of the 5 days for this cruise 2 full days and 1 full night will have no gambling/rating for the gamblers invited for the tournament. I'm sure it will save us money, just hope they offer enough to keep us busy!

However, I do understand them not purchasing a license for the limited amount of time they are in port if they can't recoup the cost of that license. Boy that sounds expensive!! $150k - wow!

  3. For those who have sailed with the Replenish Package or one that includes the same.....

Going on the Liberty in October and considering the Replenish Package for the 2 of us. Where, besides Cafe Promenade can you get specialty coffees (is that the only venue or can you order in the MDR)?

Also, what venues can you get the fresh squeezed OJ?

    Thanks!

  4. Last time I was in Bermuda, the casino on the ship was not open from arrival to departure.

Friends recently went on NCL and the casino was open. Going on RCI in october and wondering if the policy has changed for the casino's on the ship.

    Can anyone comment?

  6. Steeler - you register for an account. As long as you logoff from one device you can logon with another to the same account name/password. I'm not sure about being in separate cabins or if it matters since you set up an account with a username/pw and can use on any device. As long as the plan is paid for by one or the other you should be able to both use it.

SWS - download the Royal IQ app before you leave. You will not be able to do anything with it until you get on the ship. Once on the ship, open the app and follow instructions. Texting each other on the ship is free through the Royal IQ app. When you sign on you will get a code for your device as will anyone else who has the app. You just need to enter the codes of the devices you want to text with into your phone (and they do the same). You will only be able to text to the phones that you code into the app.

    Hope that helps.

  7. I had reservations for shows and dinner. We waited in line for Sonic Odyssey because we wanted the earlier show. Got in - no problem. Just had to wait until guests with reservations were seated first.

North Star and Bumper cars - you can't reserve so you will wait in line no matter what time you go. You may be in the front of the line or not depending on how early you get there before it opens. Times are in the compass each day.

There were lines at the restaurants - they were minimal. Usually if you got there when they first opened - just a matter of seating each group.

They never opened the roof on the indoor pool. People were opening the windows on each side of the deck but the pool remained covered. Solarium roof does not retract so they don't ever open that one. It was cold 1st day at sea, cool on 2nd day. Returning it was chilly and overcast both days. The only days that would have made sense were the 3 days on land as the weather was quite nice. However, the reports said possible showers (and it never rained) but it could be why they chose not to retract the roof.

Have fun - I'm sure you will love it - just remind yourself that you are on vacation and no problem is too big (unless you are late back to the ship and they leave without you!) If you have to stand in line - strike up conversations with those around you - met some interesting people in line!

  8. Just got off and loved everything about this ship! Enjoyed the Dynamic dining. Food was great. Service (with one exception) was excellent.

Lines to get into things can be a pain in the butt but why worry over it you're on vacation, relax and converse with others in line.

The shows are awesome! Enjoyed them all.

Our weather was beautiful in the Bahamas and even made CoCoCay!

Was not nice coming home to snow!!!

Any questions - I will try to answer.

  9. Just got off the 3/13 cruise - we dropped off our luggage at the curb. Got our tags then parked the car in their lot. They provide a shuttle from the parking area to the terminal. Very easy -no issues. Porters were right there to tag the bags. Very short drive to entrance to parking. We were on the ship 15 minutes after we dropped the luggage off.

  10. Just got off the 3/13 Quantum cruise. (we had an 8 day bahamas cruise so prices relfect the 8 day package)

Unlimited (2 devices) was $160 ($10 per person per day) before your Crown and Anchor discount - We are Emerald and it was 15% off.

Unlimited (1 device) was $120 ($15 per day)

Daily (valid for 24 consecutive hours) was $29.95

Hourly (valid for 60 minutes throughout the cruise) $29.95

Using Royal IQ to text/call other cruisers on the ship was free.

    Hope that helps!

  11. Scarlet - I'm on the same cruise and also 30 minutes from port. We always park there - it is very convenient. You can walk from the parking to the port building. We have also taken our luggage without assistance to our car after the cruise (its that close). Parking is $19/day (so for the 8 days will be around $160).
