I was here 3 years ago when Maya Chan was booked. I took a risk as not many reviews at the time.
It was super relaxing even with out 7-2 port time.. we didn't get off ship til 9!! A death defyingly fast taxi driver (covered in our fee) had us there in 40 minutes.
I think we might have broken them when they realized Wisconsin people are day drinking champions. The guy made me fresh coconut and banana cocktails and I lounged on a daybed while my friend used a tube and floated way way out in the calm and clear beach. (No pool then)
The fresh food was so filling.. and then it was time to go.

We bid on all except - Owners, 2 bedroom, and aft (those were sold out).
Us too! We went from aft balcony to FF Penthouse on same cruise. Squeals were heard when I opened the email.

But even with final payment - aren't you allowed to change the sail date under the peace of mind to the following week?

Belize allowed this private island as long as NCL used locals for both the shops and employees on the island. The money spent there stays in the Belize economy and not in NCL's pocket.

I didn't realize you could use the 100% FCC towards the bid!! I saw it when I entered the payment option.. So I might bump my bid up a little.

I booked and "paid for with FCC" on Saturday in an Aft Balcony for the 11/21/21 on Breakaway and the email for upgrades came after 11pm on Sunday night.
It is all Haven Suites and there is no minimum bid listed. I am considering bidding on the Forward Facing Penthouse. I am thinking we have a good chance because they should be able to resell our aft balcony to other upgrade bidders... or so I hope.
It would be amazing to be able to be in the Haven for Thanksgiving.... Too bad you can't use remaining FCC to offset the bid. LOL

I was told by several friends who worked as crew that even when you hand cash to someone, they are suppose to turn it over to their supervisor and it is added to the pool.

I actually would have wanted this.. however.. we transferred my Mom and my Neices FCCs to me and my daughter.. and those can not be converted now to the refund based on the exclusions..
AND it also states " FCC currently assigned to a reservation"...
So I had rebooked to a cruise in December. Not sure if we can cancel booking and still get money back for the 2 of us....

CDC has already said if you are vaccinated you can return EVEN if you were exposed without a test or quarantine. So that part will be wrong (anyone that can prove they have a vaccine wont need the ANTIGEN test)
Actually - they are still required to have the form completed and submit for reentry to Immigration. Just because someone is given a waiver does not mean the form isn't required to be completed and submitted 😉

And then..... REVENUE Sail:
MIAMI PORT
SKY Sailing
Sept 12 - 19, 2021
50% capacity - 99% using FCC LOL.
And to throw so fire into the mix - all will be required to take an ANTIGEN test on the morning of the 18th in order to re-enter the US.
-
I KNOW this isn't what you asked - BUT:
First TEST SAILING:
July 23-25th out of MIAMI
onboard SKY
Going to GSC and back.
25% capacity all VOLUNTEERS so NON Revenue.

Looks like you can call your PCC too and purchase. I'll probably call tomorrow to see the options.

Has anyone looked into the new Cruise First certificate program?
As these FCCs seem to all expire by 4/21/21, will you be able to use for Cruise First?
I know it's a long shot.. but I'd rather be able to pick the right cruise instead of the only available option at the time. I'm worried if I pick a cruise later in 2021 or 2022.. that I wouldn't be able to make any changes cuz the FCCs expired....

Anyone have experience with a cancellation that was paid with Uplift? I booked a 4 day in July that was paid with Uplift. I've had 3 price drops that have been refunded to Uplift. The balance owed has gone down each time . I'm wondering how that whole process will play out if that sailing is cancelled and I don't rebook (full refund). I know they will get the refund but what happens to the payments I already made?
I had the weirdest thing happen this week. I called my personal cruise consultant and she rebooked us on and August cruise and was able to apply my FCC, yet when she went to do the other 3 guests- it wasn't showing up. She "sent it up" to management. In mean time, another PCC called my Mom, who was Guest 1 on original booking and then passed her over to my PCC.. who was extremely rude on phone and said we needed to email Uplift to have the refuse the refund in order to be able to use Guest1, 3, and 4 FCC?
When I questioned why that would be case, she said I had put some deposit down? Again- not case as it was fully funded by Uplift. She basically hung up on me and has not answered my email or calls since.
I called Uplift today and was told I would have needed to request the refund instead of FCC and they weren't showing anything on their end.
Then, this morning- both me and my Mom received a generic email stating to rebook with our PCC- and listing a completely different name.
I know my PCC wasn't furloughed..
I'll call the new guy and see if he can fix whatever happened. However, I'm worried my FCC were applied to this new booking and so might get stuck in a longer wait and lose our extra 20% offer for rebook.

For the lushes out there - the glasses are pre-poured - and any empty seats equals extra wine for you to guzzle - I mean "taste"...
I do remember not really "tasting" much by the third glass.

Thanks. We will be going April 18 same as last time (MA school break) and found it wasn't crowded and not a ton of kids. Georgia we really liked the Escape, it's a big ship but still didn't seem difficult to get around. We have never had a problem with staff on NCL, only issue can be the pool bars on sea days. I would flag down a waiter instead.
We are on the same sailing! See you around the pool..

Me too! See you guys there!

Not sure why all the judgement about who would use such a program.
I booked at 30 days out and was offered Uplift. My additional cost was $39. Yet I have a year to pay in full and payment plan was not an option through NCL.
I can not book a year ahead with my job, and this option pretty much a great way to keep my credit cards open for other needs.

Sorry for the cranky bits... some of us haven't been out of the house much and forgot how to speak with kindness.
If real maple syrup is important- bring it as maple is a hard to stock item especially for ships not in the north Atlantic area.
Whipping cream is actually made by hand using the liquid product- but it is not going to mean it is 100% dairy... likely to be some oil base in it.
The peanut butter is going to he a high sugar type and it will be creamy not chunky.
I have seen nutella in several places, so just ask for it.. or hazelnut spread is the same thing if it isnt name brand.
I'm bringing flavored coffee creamer btw.. I'm not flying, so I have more room for things and am bringing pepperoni straws for Bloody Mary's as well.
