Upsell department does not work on weekends.

if the upsell doesn't work weekends and our cruise departs the Sunday after Thanksgiving, should I assume that all upsells would be completed by the Wednesday before Thanksgiving - ie, closed Thurs for holiday, maybe closed Fri day after Thanks and then it's the weekend?

I made a dinner reservation for Cagney's at 6:30 pm for our first night. I received confirmation email with same time. However, the vacation summary shows it at 6:00 PM??

I have never made reservations before but for this first night we wanted a confirmed dinner time. The 6:30 time was earlier than we wanted but was acceptable, but 6pm is a bit too early.

can I just show up with my printed confirmation for 6:30 pm or will that screw everything up? Why would they have changed the time from the confirmation?

I vote C. Rent a car from FLL and stay in Miami. Return to one of the agencies near Port of Miami - Budget, Avis, and Enterprise all have one. You can take their free shuttle to port, or grab a quick & cheap cab/Uber from there to port.

If you rent a car get the toll pass as there are a couple cashless tolls before the airport. We learned after the fact that those couple of tolls, which I believe were only around one dollar, cost us $15 EACH in admin fees from the rental company about a month after we returned. The pass was about $10 per rental day

Sunset bar waterfront is smoking area and was quite crowded with smokers on our last voyage. Just an FYI

Mojito bar on the waterfront is a great place to hang.

On Getaway in Dec I had cosmos made with Grey Goose Pear.

If i am understanding, it seems the poster is asking because the daughter, who is a first time cruiser and booked six months after her in the same guarantee and has received assignment but they have not received theirs yet.

question being why would those who booked so much later already have an assignment when they don't?

what category were they assigned? maybe because you booked so far in advance NCL is holding out for a potential upgraded room category for your assignment?

I was freezing cold inside always wore a jacket during early December cruise. I ended up getting sick.

Ships sail LOCAL time no matter where they are.

Want to double check that as that was not the case on my RCCL experiences where the ship always stayed on Eastern time (if departing from Florida) and we had to adjust time on our own when in Cayman.

Having said that, my tour operator in cayman for upcoming getaway cruise advised us that since the U.S. recently adjusted daylight savings time, this cruises the ship time and the cayman island time would be the same- until spring when US adjusted clocks forward again.

So... Not sure if diff cruise lines handle differently

Eagerly awaiting more info from the ship tomorrow. Based on your upgrade experience and advice, we will be in the same category one floor below anda short time after and for the same price. Yay!

So thank you for the tip on 'offering' a lower upgrade price and can't wait to hear more about the ship as well as the cabin and its perks.

We did! Just scored TWO H6 aft facing penthouse balconies for the 11/29 sailing of Getaway. Talked them down from 750 to 500 per person for the upgrade. Our total cost per passenger is 1549 in the suite. The H6s were retailing for 4600 pp all year! What a deal!!!!

I have called s few times and get different prices, still lots of suites available so Ihave fingers crossed that something will shake out. Thanks for inspiring me to try, if I get what you were offered I would jump.

As a side note, I did get an upswell offer email too. But at 750 pp and then one agent told me 1200 pp even though the email said differently. We will stay where we are and be happy, but may check one more time.

If you are in an aft haven penthouse H6, is your service less than if your suite is actually located inside the Haven?

I have read some bad butler reviews with declined requests or annoyance, and wondering if this is because the suite was on deck 9 or 10 aft and far from where their other assigned cabins may be located? I am considering the upgrade and wondering what to expect. I doubt we will have any outlandish requests, but definitely a fair amount of room service.

If they had time to gather it all to put on the dock, They could just wait. So that seems a little unlikely that would be the case, right?

I just booked a car rental for a one day and 4 hour (arriving red eye at 6;30 Am Saturday drop car at 11:00 am Sunday) for a total of $69.33.

I have sent an inquiry to Noel, however I am curious what was the length of private tour and if anybody has a recommended must see itinerary? I want the usual stuff like Orient and Maho, but other filler stop recommendations are appreciated.

It has been about 20 years since I spent 10days on the island and am guessing it has changed. Lol. There were some really yummy BBQ stands on the beach on the French side, wondering if still there. Loved playing in the water while they cooked the lobster that we picked out and it was so inexpensive. Hoping something like that still there.
