I'm heading to FLL later today for a B2B on the Celebrity Millennium on Friday. 21 days to Vancouver.

I'm so used to unobstructed views from the larger Royal ships. So in your opinion for the Silhouette, skip deck 6, possibly 7 or how about deck 8 for a less obstructed view, after the hump but still midship thoughts anyone?
My go-to is usually 8 or nine, but really not much wrong with 7. Here's a deck 8 view. Pics are a little dark...

But if you aren't do I gather looking straight down from a deck 6 balcony you'd be looking on top of the lifeboats? Question Helen, I'll assume the balcony doors on the Silhouette are the same sliding doors like other balcony doors have as opposed to what the E Series ships have.
Here's some pics from deck 7 over the lifeboats. Deck 6 would be obstructed as you can see. It would be more like looking at the lifeboats, not on top of...

Deck 7 is by far a better choice. Also some areas of deck 6 port side can also be affected by the smoking area on deck 5.

....some seating was apparently built for NBA basketball players as the horizontal seating surface would require thighs of a length not found on most humans in order to sit comfortably...
I agree with this 100%. I find that the barrel chairs in the dining room are not comfortable for this very reason.

This video is a bit out of date but I think gets you in the right direction https://youtu.be/pCuw1CjHz9U
Thanks for that. I do hope the same can be done on-line. I am not a fan of doing things on the small screen.

Does Celebrity still offer OBC for RCCL stockholders? If so, where do I send it to for a Celebrity cruise OBC?
thanks.

This has probably been asked and answered numerous times, but...........
As a Princess newbie, I would like to know how the check-in procedure compares to Celebrity. Do you select a boarding (check-in) time and then just breeze through the terminal, or is there still line-ups to get to a counter? And how about the muster drill. Is it a virtual one as on Celebrity? TIA for a peek into my future adventure.

@rankdad i wish I could help but we do not embark for another 19 days.
I know. Isn't it great?

I find it somewhat odd that 8102 is partially obstructed to varying amounts on Summit, Infinty, and Constellation, but no obstruction on Millennium. I only picked this cabin as I have been in 8102 on Summit, so I was curious about it.

Thanks for that. It looks like a good selection, although a little more sparse at dinner than previously. However if I may critique, the constant in/out/in/out showing all the food made for a difficult video to watch. As a suggestion, a bit of editing to use a series of still shots showing the description and then the food would make the video easier on the eyes.

Thanks. I probably would have picked the bed by the bathroom, in order to sit by the balcony door to enjoy the view. But I'm not sure it worth the trouble to switch. And I expect to be sitting outside on the balcony. Are there reasons others prefer the bed by the balcony door?
I prefer by the balcony as do you. I like to sit by the balcony door as well.

Do the layouts Deck 8 balcony cabins on the Equinox alternate between bed by the balcony door and bed by the bathroom? And if so, is there a way to determine which my cabin 8268 is? I didn't think of this when booking, and I am not sure it matters a lot to me, but after reading discussions regarding other ships, now I am curious.
Look at the deck plan. If the cabin has a square or triangle on it, then it is bed by bath. Those are the ones that sleep either 3 or 4.

Interesting, screen shots say premium stateroom, so a Royal would only entail $100 per person? (Not sure what starting at implies)
All of Celebrity's staterooms are "premium". The $100 does not apply to retreat.

Do they still let you move your entire amount (no fee) to another already booked cruise--but same ship on a different date? We did that in 2019, but it doubled the forfeitable deposit on that other cruise. Had to be booked prior to the transfer, though.
Can't say for sure, but I doubt it, but you never know unless you ask. Has to do with keeping the original booking number.

I believe that Celebrity's non refundable policy changed March 2, 2023. Bookings made before that date are grandfathered with the old policy but any new bookings will lose the entire deposit when you cancel.
Operative word is cancel. Moving to a new ship or sail date keeping the original booking number only incurs the $100pp fee.

Finally, anyone have a link to current Celebrity on board booking benefits?

No link, but this is from my cruise docs received earlier this week...

That is correct. You will forfeit a fee each time you change the ship and/or sail date
