For me it's all about relieving stress. Flying in the day before helps a lot.
Yes! Remember.... You are on vacation. No need for that kind of stress. Living in Michigan, sailing in the winter, we always go in a day early.

Does Celebrity have diet tonic? We're on the Silhouette in December.
When were on Reflection a while back, they did have diet tonic. Canada Dry in the small bottles. They usually have to go get it, so TIP the bartender. ☺️

For those that subscribe to Amazon Prime, there is a film that shows behind the scenes operation of the MSC Seaside. This should be of interest to those that are sailing on this beautiful ship.

Date email offer received: Used move-up online
Captain's Club Tier Select
Booked through Celebrity Direct OR via TA: TA
Current Cabin: Inside
Bid? Yes/No:YesIf YES - Bidding Details:
Cabin Category: Veranda
Bid Offer:$530
Notification Date: September 12, but cabin # not received until September 23.
Accepted
General Comments (offer details, etc.)Lowest bid was $250 pp. Bid $15 pp over lowest. Total of $265 pp. Bid accepted but cabin number not given until 2 days prior to cruise. Received an obstructed veranda. Unable to change. Would not have bid knowing we had a chance to receive an obstructed view veranda. Celebrity should include different type veranda staterooms to bid on. If they can list whether Retreat, Aqua, or Concierge, they should also list other veranda types as well.
Sometimes the "obstructed" cabins really aren't THAT obstructed. Good Luck!

If he's not a big drinker two bottles of wine along with the drinks provided during HH should suffice. If I'm around one of the bars just before dinner I get my wine glass topped up to take to the MDR. On my February Edge sailing bartender was pouring me Decoy which is in the Premium package. There is a pretty good selection of martinis and wines to choose from.

We're in a BW balcony (deck 14) on the Allure in a couple of weeks This is our 4th one. I'll try to post some pix.

We're in a Boardwalk Balcony on the Allure in a couple of weeks. We're on Deck 14 way aft. It has a pretty good view of the Aqua show. This will be our 4th BW cabin and we like them a lot.

I usually wait to buy the soft drink package on board. Last time on the Allure, they had a table set up by the Windjammer that would sell you the package. They had the cups right there.

Boardwalk just as bad
We're sailing on the Allure (3rd time} in mid May. We have a BW balcony. This will be our 4th one and like them a lot. We've had a CP balcony once. Didn't really like it as it was TOO quiet. We usually get ours across from Johnny Rockets.

We've used the tests at Walgreens for our last 4 sailings. We had the results back the same day. We're sailing on Allure in May, and we'll use this testing again. No problems at all.

Bummer. I would rather have another day at sea instead of Nassau.

We're sailing on Allure in May. I'll just keep a little bottle of sanitizer in my pocket just like I have done of previous cruises.

We've had 9 of the PR cabins and like them a lot. We always get one on Deck 6 across from the pub. The only time that you hear any noise is when they have a parade. They also shut some of the lights off at night so that it's not a problem at all. Just don't get one ABOVE the pub as it's noisy until the entertainer stops at around 1am.

We sail in mid May. This will be our 3rd time on Allure. I wonder if the ship will be full by that time. Sure liked the almost "empty" ships.

When we were on the Sky Princess earlier this year, I bought 3 2L bottles of Coke Zero in St Thomas as they don't have it on the ship. I can't stand Diet Coke. I had no problems bringing it on the ship.

Here's our take on this terrible app. We've been on a couple of sailings on Princess since the first of the year. The whole Medallion program sucks. We spent much time with the IT people onboard. My wife uses the app as I leave my phone home (😃!) She was told that to get the app to work correctly, your phone has to have 4Gigs of internal RAM. Most phones only have 2-3. WHEN it did work somewhat, we got all kinds of weird things like bringing us drinks that we didn't order, not getting drinks that we DID order. We were also treated poorly by the Customer Service Desk (Grand). This whole thing is such a cluster that we're actually thinking of cancelling our next 2 sailings,
JD<-----My 2 cents.

In general, the closer you are to the back (or front) of the ship, the more movement there will be. Also higher up is prone to more movement.
I actually like to feel the ship "move" It makes me sleep better 😃

We've had 4 of the "inside" balconies and like them a lot. There can be a little noise when the balcony door is open. Once you "lock" the door, you don't hear anything. If you want the best view of the Aqua show, try to get a cabin further back. We're sailing on the Allure in May. We have a BW cabin on Deck 14 aft. Should be great.
