  1. Yep, they don't do anything regarding upgrades over the phone. I think it's done in a secret back room somewhere and no one knows anything till an email darkens their mailbox. 😂
  2. OHHHH my goodness! I rec'd an email that my upgrade was accepted and my bank declined the charge for unusual activity!!! So I had to click on a link and Royal Caribbean popped up a message that says, Thank you we will try again if space is available. I got the text immediately after the email from RCI. So it was a matter of minutes from the time they tried to charge it until I verified it. But now I'm sitting here on pins & needles hoping they didn't just move on to the next person. FYI, I bid the lowest amount for a Junior Suite. We sail on Sunday.
  3. I'm researching that right now as we speak! I'm going w/ my 18 yr old niece, and we both use a lot of internet 🙄 Hmmm or we could tread the waters of internet withdrawal & see how that goes... 😏
  4. thanks, I re-posted there, but I can't figure out how to delete this. Is there a way to do that, or is it just stuck here?
  5. Couple of questions about this. I've already bought it, so the "is it worth it" question is pointless 😂 but I'm wondering exactly how best to use it and does everyone buy it? In other words, it seems like a fast-pass and there's nothing worse than getting a fast pass with 1000 other people! Also, when debarking in Rome after the 7 night Greek Islands trip, about what time do you think we will leave the ship (ballpark). Thanks!!
  6. When on a cruise to Mexico, a lady & her son were on the bus going to one of the excursions & she was telling him what all they were going to do and how they didn't have to be back on the ship until 4pm. We all turned & said NOOOO, we have to be on the boat by 2pm!!! Luckily she had one of those loud voices, otherwise she & little Johnny would have been flying back to Texas! She just misread the documents!

  8. I went ahead & put a bid on the junior suite. That was this morning, probably 10:45ish. Haven't heard anything. One person said they heard back w/in 2 hours, so I was hoping for that! I also called them for another issue and asked the girl on the phone about upgrading and she said the ship was sold out and there were no upgrades available. But it let me process it/bid online & it gave 3 cabin options.... so who knows. Worth a try I guess.
  9. It's the Jewel of the Seas. They do have Junior Suites for a min. of $310/pp but they look only a little bigger than our Spacious Ocean View. I think there's an added sitting area & that's it. But I like the idea of the huge bathrooms and it said there are other perks & extras! I'm so tempted to do it! There goes the budget! 🙄
  10. We are on a RC cruise from Italy to Greece, in a Spacious Ocean View. I was looking on the site & saw where I could bid to upgrade. There is a Grand Suite but the minimum is $800/pp. Not sure if it's worth it. And are all Grand Suites ocean view? Because I would hate to have one that's interior. When I booked & when looking at later cruises, they always say the suites are sold out, so I can't really compare prices.
