Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Just to give you an idea, I booked my cruise using a cruisefirst certificate through a travel agent who also gave me OBC. I submitted for the shareholder OBC on Tuesday and then heard back today that they applied it to my account. There don't seem to be many restrictions for receiving the shareholder OBC thankfully.
  2. I recently did the unlimited dining package on the Wonder. My favorite ended up being 150 Central Park. I was pleasantly surprised with Giovani's and it probably ended up being my 2nd favorite. I went to Chops for lunch and dinner during the week and got the filet and really didn't think the flavor was great. Chops was surprisingly the worst one for me. I ate at Hooked 2 times for lunch and once for dinner, all great experiences. For dinner I ordered a whole lobster and when they brought it out to me, they apologized for it being small but then also gave me another plate with just a lobster tail on it. Then told me if I needed more, just to let them know. As far as Wonderland goes, I've been there before on another ship and again on the Wonder, I think that is a must try once in a lifetime experience. It is really cool. If I could only choose one restaurant for someone to try it would be that one. You won't find anything like it on land. My recommendations: 1.)Wonderland 2.)150 Central Park 3.)Hooked or Giovani's depending on preference
  3. I got a $50 credit for my 14 yo son last year on the Anthem. We had the same concern about going over the $50 and then start charging my CC which was tied to his pass. I warned him about it so he was very meticulous in keeping track of how much he was spending. He knew he was getting low, however he did not get any warning from the machines, however he told me it did stop him when he got to $0. Whatever that means. He was kind of mad that he had kept track all that time when there was some sort of fail safe put in place to prevent you from going over without trying. He did end up playing a couple games later in the week using the card, which charged my credit card, which was obvious to him and he was expecting that. So I think as long as you have a responsible kid, you shouldn't have to worry about them running up a large bill without them being aware.
