You can go to where the ice cream is dolled out and load up on candies if you desire and in the morning you can get walnuts...just put them in a bowl....also available is taking the packaged crackers and adding a plate full of assorted cheeses...the variety is overwhelming 😎

    You're a genius!

Can anyone tell me what is served on French night?  Also, what's served on Shellfish night?

    Thanks so much😁

All I remember was different on French night was more bread and cheese options - in the buffet specifically, on the Emerald.

Would love to hear what others remember.

We received an email with the offer just over 5 weeks in advance so maybe your offer will become available again.

I know that tours added to a cart require payment within a certain period of time or they’re cancelled.  Were you offered a discount for advance purchase?  My offer has a discount but $199 for 7 days isn’t cost effective for me.

There was no discount offered, also the cost itself isn't just sold out, its completely gone from the photography section of the personalizer.

  4. Hey everyone,

I am doing my first long distance cruise this year, but me and DH are quite confused about the internet situation.

We had prebooked 240 minutes of internet, is that only to be used in the internet cafe or anywhere on the ship?

What is the deal with the internet cafe?

I've read some terrible reviews on the internet over all. I only need it to check my work emails, is there even a point in getting it?

If it makes a difference we will be on the Star going from Vancouver to Hawaii.

    Thanks!

Found the following on the Princess site, but no pricing.

Woman sniffing a glass of red wine, with a piece of chocolate on a plate

    PREMIUM CHOCOLATE & WINE TASTING

Visit our Vines wine bar for a special selection of premium chocolates and wines paired by Norman Love. Savor this sensory experience as the wine and chocolate blend harmoniously on your palate.

Charges apply. Venues vary by ship and are subject to change.

I read that, thats why my questions are about info that is not included in the write up.

I've done this twice.  It was fun to sit at Vines and eat chocolate and drink some wine. There is no talk like with the wine tastings in the dining rooms.  I like chocolate and I like wine, so why not.  I attached a photo of the Wine and Chocolate tasting from the Caribbean Princess last May.

Thanks for the info, looks quite yummy.

Is this something  I need to book ASAP when I get on the ship?

Also is this at a set date/time or do you book it and go do it whenever you want?

  7. Hey everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has done the "Premium chocolate and wine tasting" in Vines.

I would love to hear your experiences, reviews and if you remember the approx cost.

Bonus points if you know if this is available on the Star Princess.

    Thanks everyone.

Since the Volcano is on the kid's menu and since kids are allowed to eat all meals, I'm guessing that it is available at lunch in the Dining Room, assuming the Dining Room is open for lunch on any given day.  Good luck!

    My faves:

    Goat Cheese Souffle

    Eggplant Parmiagiana

    Key Lime Pie

    Gingerbread Souffle [seasonal]

And the Vitello Tonnato on the old Sabatini's menu.

So bummed my next cruise is on a ship with the new yucky menu.  They should change the venue name from Sabatini's to 50 Shades of Artichoke.  Blech.

Where can I find  the goat cheese souffle, I need that in my life.

Pretty much every Princess ship we've been on has a small driving "cage" way up on one the top decks. It's little more than a screened in driving mat with a bunch of very well used and abused drivers and irons to use. Some ships I believe also have a small putting green as well. I don't believe they have a golf simulator, but a few ships (Regal for example) do have an electronic shooting range.

Is the driving "cage" you are referring to free? Or is there a price associated?

We love the Sanctuary and always hurry to ensure we get a cabana for the sea days especially.

These look absolutely stunning, how much is it for a cabana?

  11. Hello my experienced cruisers.

This is going to be my second cruise, first long cruise. I am going on a 15 day Hawaiian cruise in October and I know there is tons to do on the cruise, but i'm curious about what you all bring to keep you "entertained" in your down time.

I know i'm going to bring a couple of books, but anything else you suggest?

    Thanks,
    Emily.
