  1. I apologize if this has been covered, but I was unable to find anything in my search. We are cruising on the Encore the beginning of March and have the NYC app for our vaccination status. We have been able to use this a lot domestically for those places that require proof. Would this be sufficient or should we carry the paper with our passport as a backup? Do any ports require you to show it?

@HippoSail - unless NCL and/or their satellite partners made changes within the past year's restart, it shouldn't matter.  Each guest will create/use her/his own unique ID and password to log-in, associated with the accorded privileges - just a matter of sharing the ID's and passwords, the newest one (based on ID's & hardware MAC address) logging in will generate a system prompt to alert that someone else is already connected, and if one proceed, will disconnect & drop the other user.

Thanks, That is what I thought, but I couldn't remember from the last time.

  3. If guest 1 has the free 240 and upgraded to unlimited premium wifi, and I buy guest 2 the unlimited social - does it matter who uses which? I know it is per device, but can guess #2 have the upgraded package and guest #1 use the purchased package? I can't remember how we activate it onboard, and if it allows this.

Someone in our roll call said, "They sent travel agents an email stating that they would not be giving any upgrades and only 25% of price drop amounts in on board credits."

Any amount less than when you booked. Our stateroom is down $500 from when we booked last May and our cruise is this May. Thinking of cashing in on the OBC now, if what people said above is true and prices may rise.

  5. It's like screaming at the cashier of a super market instead of talking to the manager. Call and talk to a representative. The facebook bots are probably overwhelmed and not reaching the special social reps who are the last to have the current information.

i was told during one of the sr officers Q&A sessions that the parabolic aft design of the Ninja Turtle class saves 20% fuel.

so all future ships will be based on that design for the foreseeable future.

Just saw this article from November: http://www.travelweekly.co.uk/articles/348360/norwegian-eyes-lng-powered-ships-after-leonardo-class-launch

“We are talking to other shipyards – Meyer Werft and Fincantieri – about subsequent classes of ships which will exist after Leonardo series has finished and part of that discussion is about LNG.

You pay at end of cruise.  It goes on your card on file.  Some people buy Cruise Next deposits; if you buy $1000 worth of Cruise Next, you get $500 credited to your on board account.

Perfect - thanks for the reply. We are starting the cruise with enough OBC to cover the cost and wanted to make sure we can use it to VIBE if we are lucky enough to get the passes.

I'm already booked a year out, and at least its going to be in Bermuda for most of the week, so it shouldn't be too terribly crowded.

But for at-sea days, this is downright awful.  4,000 passengers, and you're going to only reserve 1/3 of the top decks for them to use?  And its not like the rest of the activities on the ship can be utilized all that well, where only a few dozen people can be using the Go Karts and Laser tag combined.  And then inside, you have places like the Galaxy Pavilion with timed passes to significantly reduce capacity, and you're further taking away options.

I have a feeling this ship is going to be crowded unlike anything we've seen.

Not only 1/3  - the public deck has the running track going all the way around - so even less chair space - unlike breakaway class.

  9. Info on vibe from website. Exclusively for those 18 and over, Vibe Beach Club is resplendent with incredible ocean views, hot tubs that extend over the side of the ship, and a misting water feature - ideal for relaxation. A full-service bar, chaise loungers, chilled towels and skewers of fruit ease you even more into serenity. Passes available for purchase on board at the Guest Services desk.
