Hello! Stopping in Falmouth, Jamaica on my February cruise, it will be my first time there. Does anyone have any recommendations for excursions? I wish the RC planner allowed for reviews on their excursions. I'm also open to local tour companies that have a reputable brand and good reviews. TIA!

I'm on your cruise!! I have a simple costume planned and then I just bought a Halloween bathing suit. It's my favorite holiday and I'm so excited for the party!

Whatever cruise port we leave from, we've pretty much switched to Uber.  It pretty much eliminates the wait time for a shuttle.  Shuttle prices that I found from MCO  to Cocoa Beach were $58 for two people, and Uber was $60.  I also preload money on my Uber app for my iphone, and the transaction doesn't include any cash or credit card.  Having the whole car to ourselves is nice, too.

 

We will Uber from the airport to our hotel, and then the next day take Uber again to the port.  Then, port to airport after.  No shuttles, no buses, just stand and wait.

Thanks for the insight! I was wondering if Uber would be a comparable price to all these shuttles.

Should have mentioned that the airport is around 45 minutes from the port, so you won't find any hotels near the airport with "free" shuttles.

Yeah, I've been looking to stay closer to the port. Wasn't sure if anyone had any experience with finding a hotel out by the port that also had an airport shuttle.

I will by flying in for my cruise. Does anyone have any recommendations of any hotels that would offer shuttle service from the airport and also to the cruise terminal? Or any recommendations for shuttle services that you like and are affordable. Thanks! 

I'm going to piggy back off this thread and ask a different question about Coco Cay. I know that if you have the drink package, it extends on to Coco Cay. Is there any food on Coco Cay that is included in your trip (not the dining package) or does it all have to be purchased?

We loved the sea lion encounter! Definitely one of our top three excursions. As mentioned you'll meet up where directed to and ride the boat to Blue Lagoon. After the excursion you'll have lots of time to lounge on the beach, grab a drink at the bar or grab a bite to eat. They also have a shop with souvenirs and of course a place for you to order pictures of your encounter. I think we paid $150 for a memory stick with all of our photos and a video of the encounter. All in all it was an awesome day!

Additionally - if you're doing an excursion through the cruise line you should receive your excursion tickets at your room either on embarkation day or on the day before the excursion.  The tickets will tell you where to meet and when.

Thanks so much for the insight! Trying to gather as much information and get questions answered before we go. 

My boyfriend and I will be going on our first cruise in October and we have some excursions that we are planning on doing. If anyone has any insights on the following, I would greatly appreciate it! 

We are planning on doing a sea lion outing in Nassau. It says that the time of the excursion is 8:30am - does that mean we meet at 8:30 to get us there or have to be at the Blue Lagoon by 8:30? 

On the flip side we will be getting some floating mats and snorkel equipment on Coco Cay, which are both at your leisure activities. Can we pick those up at any time during the day or does it have to be at the time stated on the website when I book it?
