Rarely post…but.  For our airfare from TPA round trip to Barcelona, back from Rome, last October, our TA worked with SS and got us wonderful BC flights. Changed several times. She said she couldn’t do nearly as well price wise. She is a squeaky wheel.  😉

I have attached a page from the Chronicle.  Our 7 year old Granddaughter had the time of her life.  We were concerned about taking her with the rest of the family on the cruise,  but wouldn’t think of not taking her. There were quite a few children and teenagers on the cruise. Go for it!

I will probably never go to Antarctica. If you ever write a book,  I will be the first to buy.   Brilliant!

Roz, you are spot on with your response.  We returned last month from a back to back Danube cruise.  First, from Bucharest to Budapest; second Budapest to Prague.  The demographics on the first week was very different from the second.  The first cruisers were older and quieter.  Thirty of us stayed on.  The second cruisers were quite a bit younger and loved to stay up and dance. We enjoyed both,  but did find the old Soviet bloc countries more interesting.  My husband’s grandparents came from Romania, so that was most important for him.  Ports were much less crowded and guides were wonderful and honest. We made all ports except Nuremberg, as a barge was stuck in the Danube and we spent an extra night in Passau.  Still processing a wonderful trip.

We were on the same cruise.  Bucharest to Prague.  It was our first cruise with Uniworld and we were very pleased.  We do agree that Max was a wasted space.  We also were aware of the change in demographics from the first week to the second week.  Enjoyed the change, although we were in the older group. Sorry we couldn’t cruise all the way to Nuremberg, but enjoyed a few hours cruising from Passau to Regensburg.  Cruising is the only way for us.  What an interesting itinerary.

I called Uniworld and was told that i could not book the Bucharest Masterpiece Collection until we arrived.  The other excursions could be booked now.  My travel agent called as well, and was told the same thing.

Good afternoon,

I am traveling on the SS Beatrice at the end of August.  We are arriving a day early in Bucharest and will take a private tour.  Unfortunately,  it is on a Monday and our guide said that Pelés Castle will be closed.  There is a Masterpiece tour there on Tuesday.  Our travel agent called Uniworld and was told that we couldn’t sign up until we got to Bucharest.  I’m confused as to why the excursion was sold out when we can’t book until we arrive.
