They are.  I had them on the Dream last week.  There was a peanut butter one that was so yummy!  Hubby and I tried to go back and get another slice to take to our room for later,  but it was all gone by the time we went back.

Good to know - I will be on Magic 3 weeks from today. My fist several cruises, I always got a piece of Key lime pie on embarkation day. Then the key lime pie disappeared, for a while, but, then, it would appear occasionally on any given cruise. But, from the pictures that someone posted, it looks like the key lime is there.

  2. I just got off of the Breeze Sunday. She's a beautiful ship. I don't like larger ships, but, IMO, this ship was worth it. Plenty of food options - mostly free, a few pay. My only complaints - and they are small ones and won't keep me from cruising on the Breeze again - was the lack of entertainment. But, late in the week, we found that a lot of things just weren't published in the Fun times. So, I think that is up to the CD as to what is listed in the fun times. Our CD was Matt, he's very funny and energetic - I like him well enough, but I think he falls short on the business end of being a CD. We had some issues that we needed taken care of and guest service referred us to Matt, but we were never able to get a hold of him and guest service left him several messages and he never got back to us. So, between this and things not being listed in fun times is why I feel he lacks in the business part of his cd duties. But, Matt was leaving the day we did and Wee Jimmy was taking over. Also, the only other issue, with the Breeze, was (as someone else pointed out) main shows were not good. Lack of talent, lack of choreography, lack of creativity to the shows creators. So, if you're into shows, don't expect good ones. Shows don't "make" my cruise, but I was cruising with my Mother and she really enjoys the shows, so, that's why we kept going, lol.

  3. Will they refill the shampoo/conditioner, lotion, etc if it gets low. We are booked in a spa cabin, on the Breeze, leaving this Saturday. Normally, I take my own shampoo/conditioner because they don't have conditioner in the regular staterooms but, since I am in a spa room I was thinking, maybe, I don't need to bring any. Also, how are the Elemis product - any opinions?

  4. sunrises and sunsets are free too, and some of the most beautiful you will ever see

miniature golf, ping pong, karaoke, shuffleboard (yes it does exist, but is very hidden) the gym, the pools, and the water slides.:)

This is good to know. I am not a cruise virgin, but, I didn't know the mini golf was free. I have never played it, on a ship, because I didn't want to play bad enough to pay for it. But, maybe, I will play it next weekend.:D

  5. Thanks for all the offers to help. My Mom hasn't complained anymore about the little fold out map. I, personally, don't like them at all. Since we only have 2 weeks until we cruise, she'll be able to get one soon enough. As much as she hates computers, I was able to show her some things on her smartphone and, now, she has a lot of ship info to keep her occupied.

  6. We cruised, a couple of years ago, the first week of October. We were scheduled to go to Cozumel, Ocho Rios and Grand Cayman. There ended up being 3 hurricanes/tropical storms in the western Caribbean. So, we did the itinerary in reverse. We went to Ocho Rios and it rained, we went to Grand Cayman and couldn't dock - so they took us to Costa Maya instead and then Cozumel. It was a very rainy week and it was extremely HOT and humid! Costa Maya was so hot and unbearable, we got back on the ship and thought we'd sit by the pool - but it was even too hot for that. My Mother was in the Bahamas, one year, the third week of October and her experience with the heat was similar to ours in Costa Maya. We both said we would never cruise in late Summer or Fall, again. All that being said, my Mom and I are going on the Breeze, together, October 11. So, either we're gluttons for punishment or the fun (on a cruise) definitely out weighs the negatives of some hot weather. BTW, we are doing the southern Caribbean, which I am sure will be very hot, lol.

  7. My Mom and I will be on the Breeze, in a few weeks and we have reservations for the steakhouse on the first night. My Moms one and only favorite dessert, on Carnival , is the Creme brule - which is usually served the first night, in the mdr. Is there any way possible to get a serving of Creme brule somehow? On our last cruise, she missed Creme brule night, as well, as she was sick from some bad seafood the night before our cruise and didn't go to the mdr. The second night, she asked our waiter if she could get some and he thought that it wouldn't be a problem, but when he checked he was told no. Any suggestions?

  8. Yes, you can put a hold on a cabin online, then call your Pvp. A couple of weeks ago I did this. I was waiting for a check from my credit union - where I have my savings account- I was sure it would have come Monday morning. So I woke up around 4am and while I was up I thought I would check the price and cabin I wanted since there were only 2 cabins left where I wanted. Well, the price was the same, but one of the cabins was sold so I put a hold on the last cabin. I was sure I would call pvp when she came in at 11:00am and pay for the cruise. Well, my check did not come. So, I called pvp and told her what was going on. The hold would expire at 4amTuesday morning, but my pvp was able to extend it until noon Tuesday. This way, she could help me when she came in at 11am - as long as my check came. It came and she booked my cruise as soon as she came in. Those hold are kind of convenient. ;)

  9. I just read your Breeze review - what an awesome review! I will be doing the Breeze's southern itinerary, in October. You made me feel like I was right there, on the ship, with you. You have a lot of the same likes and dislikes, as me, so, this review was beneficial, to me, since it wasn't loaded with a lot of stuff I don't care about. It's funny, I had only planned on reading the parts about the ship and not what you did in port - since I have been to those ports and my Breeze cruise will go to different ports. But, you really drew me in and I couldn't stop reading - I loved your Key west and Grand Cayman reviews.

I am sorry to hear about the food in the MDR. I noticed on my last cruise (Carnival Dream) that the food in the MDR had started going down hill. But, the service has always been fantastic. But then I have always had early seating - so, maybe Carnival is still struggling with anytime dining, jmo.

Again, fantastic review! I am going to have my Mom read it, this weekend, when she comes to visit. I am taking her on the Breeze in Oct. and she doesn't do computers, at all. So, I am going to have it set up up, for her, to read. I am sure it will make her even more excited.

  10. Can anyone help me find the little deck plan handout that you get on the ship - for the Breeze. My Mom is cruising with me and she is mad they don't send your documents, in the mail, anymore. She doesn't do computers - at all - so I can't convince her that everything is readily available online. I told her I would print out all the decks, for her, but she wants that little folded one that you get on the ship. Thanks in advance!

  11. I would call Carnival - and I think there is a disability department you can ask to speak with - and ask them if they have any plans to put these lifts in. In the mean time, as others have said, take your money else where. But, I just wonder if maybe there are plans to install these lifts - I have just started seeing them, last summer was the first time I ever saw one. But, I would definitely call the disability department and see if there are plans and if there isn't any plans then kindly express your disappointment and let them know you find a different cruise line.

  12. We stayed here a few years ago. I remember that there was a shopping center across the street - the only restaurant, that I remember, is Dave and Busters and that's only because my son was sure to point it out every chance he got. I don't know if you're familiar with dave and busters, but they do have a dining room that is separate from the bar/gaming area - some of the food is pretty good. I know you said no fast food, but there was at least one pizza delivery place available - I know because we just ordered a pizza. You could always call hotel, directly, and ask about sit down restaurants.

  13. I know everyone says how relaxing this area is, but do the heated loungers and/or the thasso pool help with sore legs and backs? I have issues with my legs and back and when I was on the Dream (in February) I was in pain the whole entire cruise from all of the walking because of the size of the ship. I tried the regular hot tubs, but they were barely warm let alone hot. I swore I would never do a large ship again, but here I am getting ready to book the Breeze, lol. So, I have been considering the Cloud 9 cabins to have access to this area.

  14. I love a wristlet and never had any issues when using one. I have a couple coach wristlets that I used to use, but now I use a Vera Bradley one that is also my everyday wallet. I like wristlets, on cruises, because it holds my card (and I.D. when in port), camera and my sunscreen lip balm. I don't usually have pockets and I wouldn't want a camera, in my pocket, weighing it down. I can't be without my lip balm (even when not in the sun) and I like carrying a camera around because you never know when you'll need it. I, also, use my wristlet on local outings. I replace my camera with my cell phone. At dinner, it's no different than having a shoulder bag or a clutch. I put it on my lap, the chair next to me or (if it's a table for 2) I'll put it on the table at the opposite end of where the server stands. BTW, my husband would never let me put stuff in his pockets. Matter of fact, he's always taking stuff out of his pocket and trying to get me to carry it - another reason I like a wristlet - I can tell him I don't have any room in my purse.

  15. Hopefully this gets answered quick as I am leaving for airport in a couple of hours. I see many of you carry on your powder/mineral make up. Has anyone ever had any problem carry it on? I would really like to carry my mineral make up, in my purse - I have always put it in my checked bags. It's all mineral make up. I can't use mascara and the eyeliner is mineral, too, since I can't use the pencil or the soft stick type.

  16. I have tried that after seeing it on travel tip segments on different tv shows. I have never had luck with it working. What works well is, as some have mentioned, hanging them in the steamy bathroom. Also, if you take a spray bottle and fill it with water and lightly mist the garment and give it a slight tug - the wrinkles come right out. I have heard people have a lot of luck with the Downey wrinkle reducer - I think it's the same concept as the water, but it probably has fabric softener mixed in it.

  17. I do visit a tanning salon before I go. I have severe skin allergies and sun screen is one of my biggest issues. I knew that I was allergic to fragrance, so I tried using lotions that are on my approved list (from the dermatologist) that had sun screen in them - they didn't help. Still ended up with rash and then turned into eczema. my doctor confirmed that I was one of the rare cases allergic to sun screen. So, I do visit tanning salon just to get a little bit of a base so that I don't burn. I don't spend a lot of time in sun, but sometimes, you just can't help it (on excursions and such) and I would hate to have sunburn while on vacation.

DH and I usually each pack a carry on and we share 1 large suitcase. We could pack everything in our carry ons, but I have never been able to get dh's suit and shoes in his carry on. So, that is why we have to take the 1 large suitcase - we just pack most of our stuff in it and then take 2 small carry ons. Plus, I have special products that I need to use (because of my skin allergies) and, of course, they have to get checked - I can't carry them on in the plane.
