Free beer and wine - how can you go wrong? :D

Ciudad Condal
Have heard rave reviews about this one. It is definitely on my list.

We're staying in our third OS on Pride in September and I'll report back on that, if it would help.
#6258 by any chance? :D
I'm interested in the balcony configuration since it isn't with the other ocean suites on deck six.
-
The Fantasy-class ships each have two penthouse suites. They are not shown on the deck plans.
-
I had #9201 on the Freedom last year. I had to call to book it for some reason. Despite both of them being available, they did not show up on the website. Excellent room, I loved it.
-
That is an excellent price to upgrade to one of the two penthouse suites.

As stated, the Blackjack Band is the favorite of many. I always have gone into New Orleans a couple of nights early - it is my favorite port because it is a destination in it's own right. You will have cell service for 6-8 hours after sailing because it takes that long to reach open water from the Mississippi.

The taxes and port fees for the 14 day Journeys cruise that includes the partial transit are less than $130, and that's with six ports. I guess the sky high port fees are only for full transits.

Did two four day B2Bs on Imagination last month with another four day booked next month. Love the crew!

Do you know if the casino did anything special for the Super Bowl on embarkation day? I know they do squares and prop bets, but I am thinking they won't be able to with the game starting so soon after embarkation.
Our roll call did squares, it was a lot of fun!

I was on the Dream for it last year. Recommend going directly from muster to Lido to snag a good seat if you plan to watch it on the big screen.
-
It won't be port cancellations but, likewise, the choice of Jacksonville is confounding.

I stayed at the Hotel Continental near the top of La Ramblas. It is very pink - but the rooms were clean, beds were super comfortable, service was great and they have a 24 hour food and beverage bar with free wine and beer! Check the website - the pictures show the pink! We found it hilarious! Highly recommend. Super close to the Airport Buses and Hop On/Hop Off buses.
Glad to hear this one recommended. Staying there 4 nights pre-cruise in October.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Long Beach Airport last month. The renovated rooms are nice and it has a nice rooftop bar/restaurant.
-
I check the website daily. The last true no supplement sailing I nabbed was in February of this year.

He's one of my least favorites. I too found him ill-prepared when it came to announcements. He was late for the moment of silence for 9/11 and you could tell he didn't have anything prepared to say. It was very awkward to listen to.

The last upsell that I took was in the form of an e-mail. We booked directly with Carnival in a balcony guarantee. Was assigned an 8E balcony (Lido) and was offered a grand suite in the e-mail.
-
I did self-assist and was at Hobby at 9:15am using Carnival's shuttle.
-
I'm one of the ones in the vast minority that wouldn't book an extended aft balcony again, but I definitely wouldn't move to an OS for $1K.
The last several upsell offers I have received were through e-mail. Haven't received "the call" since 2013.

Custom Cruise Wear, hands down. They can customize anything you want. We had over 100 shirts ordered for a cruise last year, but there are no minimum orders.

I booked a cove balcony on the Carnival Dream TA for 2009. Booked it solo. When my sister managed to arrange her schedule to come along, it cost $20.83 in taxes/fees to add her. (She never paid me...). EM
The Vista TA had some great solo rates the first few days after itineraries were released. Got a great deal!
-
And the food/drink credit runs out quickly, so expensive even with them.
-
A list will be published later in the year with dates that each ship will be decorated. They are not all decorated at the same time.

Headed out on the Carnival Freedom, 9/12/15...Cannot wait !!
I'm a little overwhelmed with the 3 ports of call ( Roatan, Belize City, and Cozumel) and all they they have to offer. I am wondering if any cruisers out there have actually not booked and/or reserved any excursions for these ports and did things more spontaneously. I am wondering because we aren't sure if we'd like to stay at the beaches all day - hit the ruins - go zip lining - see the sights etc. We'd like the flexibility of "let's see how we feel when we get there" type of planning.
I'll be disembarking when you board. :(
For zip lining, I can definitely recommend Victor Bodden in Roatan. It was excellent!
Never cruised out of Galveston before.....help please....

Enterprise still does one way rentals between Hobby and Galveston but charges a $100 fee for it.
I really wish Galveston allowed Uber.
