  1. Hello all! I booked a cruise for next December on the Carnival Breeze and I have upgraded us to a Premium Vista Balcony. I heard that it is better than the suites because of the view and I was wondering what about the decks? They are available from decks 6-9. I like the layout of the rooms on decks 6-8. We are currently on deck 7 and in stateroom 7459. Would one on deck 8 or 9 be better or is deck 7 the way to go? Thank you for all the help and happy cruising!!!!!!!

  2. I am going on the Breeze with my boyfriend in December 2020. It is our anniversary and I want to make it special. I was going to order the toast package, a chocolate cake, and the Ultimate Ocean Getaway package. I was wondering do they get delivered the first day for the ocean package since it has champagne and apparel items? Also are any of those items worth it? I have heard mixed things. Thanks!

If you check in online just after midnight as soon as online check-in opens up for your cruise, you should be able to choose the earliest appointment time and get boarding zone A1.  Zone A1 boards right after Faster to the Fun.  I believe online check-in opens up around 90 days before your cruise.  The actual date shows up when you log in to your account.

For getting off of the ship quickly, you can either carry off your bags yourself or you can find out when the checked luggage tags will be available and be one of the first ones in line.

Thank you for the information! I think it makes more sense to carry the bags off ourselves. What time do you typically get off then?

Anymore embarkation and debarkation is pretty quick. Are you flying back? If so, how early is your flight?

FTTF is subjective, just like any other "add on" now promoted by cruise lines. We tried it a few years ago. One and done for us. Really only used it for GS visits and even though a shorter line, not much quicker.

One thing I do miss is Luggage Express where, for a small fee, Carnival took your checked bags to the airport for you. That was pretty awesome.

And never give up an aft balcony! You will be spoiled.

We do not know if we are flying or driving yet. It is a 10 hour drive unless we stop at my aunts and drive 4 hours the next day to get to the port. I'm really considering flying. It would be around $300-$350 for us to drive there and back including parking. Won't need the hotel because of my aunts house. If we fly its basically double that plus the hotel. So I'm not sure if the extra money is worth it. Also is it better to fly in day of or before?

Wow, I didn't realize it would take that long.  Personally I would fly the 2 hrs over driving 10 hrs.  like someone else said: consider cost of gas, food, your time, & wear & tear on your vehicle + cost of parking.  We drove from Leavenworth KS to a cruise out of Galveston last month.  But I had a sister to visit between the 2.  So it was worth the extra cost/time to drive,  but it definitely was more expensive than flying.  I would not do it again.

Also consider there are extra costs to consider when flying.  The time you spend in the airport waiting to board the flight.  Driving time to/from airport from your home.  Weight restrictions on luggage at airport. The cost of parking at airport.

Our family lives in the same town so they would just drop us off as well as the airport is only 15 minutes away from our houses. I think they only thing I would be worried about would be the luggage weight.

I would definitely fly and I’d fly in the day before you embark. Five hours is my driving limit if it can be avoided.

We could stop and stay with my aunt in Tampa so that would be a 7 hour drive but then we would still have to drive 4 hours the next morning to get to the port. I'm trying to convince my boyfriend to fly.

Where will the Breeze sail out of in Dec 2020?  We are on the Breeze next week & it sails out of Port Canaveral FL, is it repositioning to another port prior to your sailing?  I would think anywhere in Fl would be less than a 10 hr drive to Pt Canaveral.

It will be going out of Fort Lauderdale. To Pt Canaveral from my area would be around 6 hours.

  8. I currently live in Niceville, FL. My boyfriend and I are sailing on the Carnival Breeze in December 2020. We are debating on flying or driving to the port. This will be our first cruise by ourselves without family so I have no idea. The drive would be almost 10 hours not including stops. The flight is only around 2 hours. Is it worth the extra money? When would be the best time to fly in? We bought the carnival travel protection when we purchased the cruise. Thanks!

  9. Hello! I am cruising on the Carnival Breeze in December of 2020. I booked a Premium Vista Balcony, so it has the wrap around and is in the back. There are no more FTTF available and I was considering upgrading to a ocean suite or grand suite. It will just be me and my boyfriend traveling. We really like the idea of priority embarkation and debarkation but don't know if we should give up our balcony for it. Just curious what are the perks when you book a suite and for anyone who has sailed on that ship, are the suites really worth it with the perks? Also the ocean suite or grand suite? Thank you!!!!!!!

No one can really answer that with 100% certainty since no one has been on Mardi Gras. Personally I think Breeze is one of Carnival’s best ships. I prefer it over Carnival’s Vista class ships, which are currently Carnival’s newest ships.

Okay thank you! I think I will just stay with the Carnival Breeze. We've upgraded to the Premium Vista balcony and I really like that room.

  11. I booked the Carnival Breeze for December 2020. I have paid the deposit and one month of the EasyPay. I was looking into doing the Carnival Mardi Gras. It leaves one day earlier but will Carnival allow me to change it or would I need to cancel it and re-book? Any thoughts on the Carnival Breeze? Is it a good ship? I've done research but not sailing on the newest ship is giving me doubts. It will be my boyfriends and mine first vacation together so I really want him to like it especially since he has never cruised before. I also purchased the travel protection from Carnival. Please and thank you for all the help!
