    Hi

just curious if anybody knows this answer. Seeing as they have the black Friday sale if I purchase the booze package at this rate. And if for some strange reason it’s cheaper over the Christmas holidays can you cancel and rebook and get the difference back.? Is this something they do or am I locked in, at this rate, no matter if it goes cheaper or not?

    thanks for any information.

    cheers

I have already done this 2 times. So easy. The refund takes longer to appear than the purchase, of course.

Ok, back for my review. We were there a couple days ago. We followed the signs off the ship to the taxi stand, very easy. They had tons of taxi vans, so all shared. $5 pp to harbor lights. Check in was quick and easy as we had front row reservations, paid in advance. They pointed us out the back and told us to look for our names. We found our 2 chairs with umbrella in front as promised. The beach was gorgeous, soft sand. Water blue and beautiful. You could rent jet skis, or go snorkeling if you wanted. It was interesting as the snorkeling spot was basically just right past the ropes, would be a quick swim but there is some boat traffic so idk about just swimming out there. We didn’t snorkel so can’t really tell you. Others said it was good. 🤷‍♀️ service was kind of lacking but we weren’t really pushing it. Started with a bucket of beer for hubby and a blended drink for me. They never came back but we could have grabbed someone if we really wanted to. I was just surprised as places like that usually want to sell drinks. As for the crowds, it was pretty full but it was fine. You won’t have a beach to yourself is all I’m saying. When we were ready to leave we grabbed a taxi waiting in parking lot, there were several, and back to port for $5pp.  Oh, and there were a couple vendors but they weren’t obnoxious. (Like today in St Maarten. 🤣)

Thank you so much for your review. Sounds like you had a decent time. Surprised about the service being slow because like you mentioned, they could make more $.We do plan on going there because we like that we can prebook our sets.

Have only patronized Boatyard. Admission price includes transport back to cruise ship and 1 drink along with lounger & umbrella. Well maintained & clean, lockers & shower available. There is a restaurant on site.

    Thank you

I realize it was a while ago but in 2014 we used Puerto Rico Shuttle Van Services and they were excellent.  Before replying to your post,  I looked them up and it looks like they're still providing good service.  We had the same driver pick us up at the airport, bring us to our hotel, bring us to the port from the hotel and then from the port back to the airport.

Thank you for that info. Very helpful!

  5. I realize this is not the most economical choice for transportation in PR however, my DH would like to know what your tried and true recommendations would be for private transportation that can be pre-booked. Please, no bashing for asking this question.  Looking for airport to hotel....cruise port to airport.

    Any info welcomed. Thank you

  6. I have been going to San Juan taxi websites to get approximate cost for our upcoming trip. Every website gives me different fares 😑 and some of them are way off for exact same itinerary.

So I realize there is a $3.00 surcharge for airport pickup.

Then they mention $1.00 per piece of luggage plus other surcharges...

    Looking for the following...

*San Juan airport to Courtyard Miramar

*Courtyard Miramar to Pan American cruise port

*Pan American cruise port to San Juan airport

    Thank you!

Do you mean in the Diamond... err... Crown Lounge?

It's usually a spread of pastries you will find elsewhere on the ship... croissants, muffins, danish, donuts, etc., little yogurt parfaits, some ships have oatmeal, stuff like that.

There's nothing special about the actual food but if you're going there for the coffee machine to get an espresso-based drink (the far bigger morning perk, IMO) it's nice to be able to grab something to go with it.

    Thanks for info
