Thanks for the reassurance, FlyerTalker! That's what made logical sense to us but we wanted to be sure!

Hi all, My DH and I are a week and a half out from embarking on our first cruise - honeymoon trip to Alaska! We're very excited but also a little nervous. In addition to this being our first cruise it's our first time flying internationally so we have some questions. Our flight out is Canadian domestic (Montreal-Vancouver direct) but our flight home is international (Anchorage AK - Newark NJ - Montreal). From what I understand we'll go through customs when we arrive back in Montreal, but we're worried about our luggage. We read at one point that we may have to claim our luggage in Newark then re-check it for the flight to Montreal. Is this true? Or will our luggage automatically follow us through the entire way back to Montreal? We just want to make sure we're prepared and have enough time making our connection. If it helps, our carrier is United all the way through on our return trip. Thanks in advance! Nick & Chelsie
