We have always booked onboard. We always go to the spa raffle at 5oclock and usually win something. Sometimes they allow us to apply what we won towards the thermal suites. Win or not we(my wife) always talk to the spa workers and can usually work out a deal that is better than booking before the cruise.

Bonsai Teppanyaki was not included for kids eat free with family harborwhen we were on the Panorama in 2020. Can't imagine that they would have changed that.

We have stayed in FH 3 or 4 times. We were forward of the lounge and had no noise issues. Not sure how aft will be.
Just an FYI at 12 the kids now go to a different kids club and she will have much more freedom. Kids can check themselves in and out as they please . It's a lot more casual and not as structured as Camp Ocean. They have some scavenger hunts and other activities that send them around the ship.

They still do but on our last cruise(Ecstasy August 2022) the shrimp was different. It was now the traditional shape instead of the rectangular "spear" shape that they have always had previously. Still tasted great!

You also may want to factor in things like hotel, parking, and any taxi's/ubers you paid for all by yourself since she wasn't able to come.

I paid in full and she paid me, so if she gets nothing back from Carnival, do I pay her back and then my trip ended up costing double? Do I have any recourse? This whole thing is just really frustrating.
At the end of the day "her" money ended up with Carnival, not with you. You were just the middleman. She shouldn't expect you to refund her because she is the one who couldn't make the cruise because she was sick. You should give her the amount you received for port fees, and gratuities but anything more is her responsibility to figure out. If she is truly a friend she should understand this.

Hopefully his 15 minutes of fame is short lived... not a fan of the light heartedness of the GMA segment

If I can vent for a minute I have a real problem with a “49er fan” who doesn’t even know that the Saints were in the same division as the 49ers.
Wait until he finds out about the Seahawks!

Do you recall how long before your cruise it was listed? I'm on the Miracle next May and it is not listed yet
It was a few months before. It was sold out originally but I kept checking and eventually it popped up. They may have added another boat because there was a morning trip, and afternoon.

I only see this excursion being offered on cruises out of Seattle. Does anyone know if it will eventually be offered on cruises out of San Francisco?
We took this excursion when we were on the Miracle in June. It was listed under the San Francisco Port day.

We did the Chichen Itza and cenote swim in August. It was a great excursion and I would recommend it especially if you don't have kids. It is a long bus ride(1.5-2 hours) each way. The ruins were very crowded but an experience to see.(Progresso is not the greatest port). The cenote was 15 or 20 minutes but the food was good, and the scenery was beautiful. It too was crowded and more touristy and not really a nature experience. We had a great time and thought it was worth the money.

I have stayed in Family Harbor on all 3 Vista class ships and they all had hot water. My kids loved getting hot chocolate. I don't remember if it came out of a machine or if they had packets where you make your own but for sure hot water was available.

I did get the submission email immediately. Just waiting on an answer. I got a great deal on the cruise, with $200 OBC already so wondering if they will have a problem with the stock holders credit.
I booked a similar(probably the same) offer and they approved the stock credit. It took 3 weeks or so to hear back on the approval.

Thank you, did you happen to see any other items besides crab legs, shrimp and clam chowder? The Chinese food for lunch is also a nice surprise. Good info!
It seemed to have all the same items the permanent Seafood Shacks have on the other ships. I don't remember for sure if they had oysters but there was fresh fish as well as all the fried options.

We are on this ship in a few weeks to Ensenada and were wondering about unlisted food options. I saw some pictures of a small seafood shack type place and another eatery near lido marketplace. Are there some additional eateries, besides the lido buffet, that are not listed on the Carnival main page? Thanks.
The "seafood shack" was only open for dinner until 10pm I believe. During lunch they usually had Chinese food, and breakfast it was just another station.

WE were on Horizon in July of last year and there were no such problems.
I think there is too much smoke regarding the Horizon AC issue for their not to be a fire. In all fairness I have only been on her one time.

Does anyone know if a note has been dropped to John Heald to look into this?
The AC issue on the Horizon has been going on a LONG time. I was on her in June 2019 and I remember sweating like a pig in the MDR. I have seen several comments to John Heald and he always has denied any issues in his responses.

Good to know it is not just me. Perhaps we need to form a support group.I think we probably need to go on another cruise just to make sure... for the sake of science

I experienced the same thing a couple of weeks ago on the Miracle in Alaska. Thought it was an Alaska cruise thing. Who knew!

Mine were sting rays(6-8). I believe it was for all ages in camp ocean though.

3/5 on the Vista kids were still required to wear masks... YMMV
-
Masks are required to be worn in cruise terminals, and most ports. As far as on the ship they are only required in the medical center. I was on the Vista 3/5 and this was written on a handout that was on the desk in the room.

6 Day cruise parking was $132. Ship card was taken for “auditing purposes”.
They couldn't take a picture of your card and accomplish the same thing?

We did our kids renewal 4/1 and they are showing they shipped yesterday 4/8 with delivery by 4/14. We sail in June and paid for expedited because we were nervous about processing time.
