Was on the Solstice from Hawaii to Vancouver - no complaints with the ship or the staff.
However, Celebrity website and customer service is another story. This is not just my opinon, but also that of many cruisers, and as well as travel agents.
-
I too, feel your pain - we have just completed our 1st and last cruise with Celebrity - our trip was booked thru a travel agent - who also shares in our frustration of lack of customer service. I did email them and spoke of my total dissatifaction of their service - their reply - they are working on the website issues - and customer service wait times -
We are Royal Caribean fans - and I have already booked my cruise on the Oasis for next year.
My personal experience on Celebrity - the food was so, so - the buffet was disorganized, to me when you run out of plates and cutlery and do not know where the condoments are, you have a problem! All I can say is been there and done that - back to what we know and love.
Please do not respond with nasty emails - this is just my opinion - although speaking to many guests on our cruise - they are of the same mindset. To each their own - happy cruising!

Boo Hoo:mad: - We will be docked at Pier II - with the Solstice on April 28 & 29 - how far is it to the Aloha at the other pier?
-
We will be in Kailua Kona on May 2 - on the Solstice - there are no tours on Celebrity that interests us.
Could someone give us some idea what we could do for the day? We are not beach people, but enjoy sightseeing, shopping etc.
Thanks

This will be my husbands, first time with Celebrity on the Solstice - we have cruised on HAL, Princess & Royal - what can we expect - any hints, or things to do or avoid?
Also, is there an area, where you can just get coffee, and a snack? We are avid coffee drinkers.
Thanks

I share your feelings, and so does my travel agent, worst website to access ever.
-
I feel your frustrations, I have had the same problem - holding on the phone with a message your call will be answered in 13 min - 35 min later finally hang up - sent numerous emails never to receive a response. My incidents happened 3 to 6 weeks, ago, finally gave up and called my travel agent - she also had a very frustrating experience.
All I can say is "SHAME ON YOU CELEBRITY AND YOUR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE"
-
The Celebrity site is pathetic, I have been trying for a week to book excursions, and it keeps saying it is doing maintenance.
They either do not want my business, or are arrogant enough to think we will book once on the ship.
Pull up your socks Celebrity - get your website fixed.

Has anyone done an excursion trip to Chief Sielu's Luau - how was it? Any recommendations?

Thank you for sharing, beautiful pictures

Excursions
in Hawaii
Has anyone dealt with Sav On Tours Hawaii - I came accross this site by accident, and noticed that they sell regular tours at discount prices - how reputable are they, anyone have any experience with them.
Thanks

Thank you all, still trying to figure out which tour company to use, but looking forward to our couple of days in Whistler.

Is it necessary to go on a tour, in order to avoid waiting in line for hours?
Friends of ours arrived at 9:00am and were not able to see the Arizona until 1:30pm - as we only have 1 free day, until we board the ship - not sure what to do - anyone suggest a tour operator, if that is the way to go.
Thanks.
-
Thank you very much for the link - I will surely check out the options.

When we arrive in Vancouver in May after our cruise aboard the Celebrity Solstice - we would like to visit Whistler, BC for a couple of days.
Does anyone know of a good transportation company to pick us up at the port -drive us to Whistler and then in a day or two drive us from Whistler to the airport.
We have thought of renting a car, but my husband would like to enjoy the scenery - so driving is out.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Great Review, sorry to hear about your husband - During our May 18 to May 25 trip, my husband also became ill on the Thursday night - luckily they were able to pump him full of antibiotics to fly home to Toronto. We found the medical staff to be great.
-
I am love, love, loving this review - and your pictures are spectacular - especially since we received 34 cm of snow yesterday!
-
Thank you all, you answered all my questions - I knew I could depend on my cruise critics friends.
Have a great day.

What is the certificate you can purchase on board to receive on board booking bonus and do they have an expiry date?
We are cruising in May, and would like to book another cruise, but frankly, I do not see any that I really want to go on - would like to do the southern caribbean - but it is such a long flight from Toronto to San Juan, especially if you can not get a direct flight.
I am sort of hoping the open the Mexican Riviera again, but I do not want to buy a certificate if the expire.
Thanks

You were up very early this morning taking pictures, but then I would be rather up early on a cruise ship, than sleeping in at home.
Once again thank you for all the beautiful pictures, and commentary - it brought back many memories. All good.
Have a safe trip home, and look forward to your next cruise.
-
Radio, I said it before and I will say it again, your pictures are beautiful, what kind of a camera are you using?
Thank you for taking us on your holiday, I am enjoying it very much.:)
-
Radio: First of all your pictures are awesome, they almost look high def, and I feel, like I am on the ship. Having sailed her, it brings back wonderful memories. Thank you also, for taking time on your vacation to post live, so that we - the arm chair cruissers - can sail along. Looking forward to the rest of the cruise.;)
