  1. I canceled my excursions on the 17th and received the credit to my card on the 31st (so exactly 10 business days). It did take until April 3rd however to show up on my card. When it did show up on my credit card it said the credit was on the 31st.

Due to the current global environment, we are extending the suspension of all sailings across our fleet through May 10, 2020 and plan to relaunch cruise operations with embarkations beginning May 11, 2020. Guests who were booked on suspended cruises will automatically receive a 125% or 150% refund of their cruise fare in the form of a Future Cruise Credit which can be applied towards any Norwegian Cruise Line voyage through December 31, 2022. Future Cruise Credits will be applied to your account by April 1, 2020. EMBARKATION DATES FUTURE CRUISE CREDIT March 13 to March 17, 2020 150% of cruise fare March 18 to May 10, 2020 125% of cruise fare We’re also giving an additional 20% discount when you book by April 14, 2020 using your Future Cruise Credit on cruises embarking July 1, 2020 - December 31, 2022! This discount will be automatically applied when you book online. Guests who do not prefer to take advantage of a future cruise credit will receive a refund to be payable after 90 days from completion of the Refund Form below. Refund requests must be submitted by April 27, 2020 for all suspended sailings. Please note that if your suspended sailing was scheduled to embark between April 12 - May 10, 2020, you will not be able to request your refund through this form until April 13, 2020.

  4. I should say they said 7 to 10 Business days so that gives them until the 31st for me
  5. I canceled mine on the 17th and was told that the credit would be back on my credit card in 7 to 10 days
  6. I just cancelled my excursions, prepaid gratuities, an internet package, and soda package today. I was told that I would see a credit back to my credit card in 7 to 10 business days.
  7. I would add that if you are in an inside room you are not going to have the opportunity to bid on Haven (only 2 categories above what you have)
  8. In my experience yes. I was originally in an inside room with a bid on a balcony. When prices dropped after final payment I called and they gave me an ocean view room at no additional cost. I now have the opportunity to bid on a balcony and a mini-suite. The minimum bid AND maximum bid is now $100 lower for the balcony now that I am in the ocean view.

You are correct – I 1st received an email saying that there was a change to my reservation so they canceled my original balcony upgrade bid, but I was still able to go back into the bidding page this morning and see my updated OV room with offers to bid on a balcony and mini-suite. So, I have placed new bids and now have to wait again. Very happy to have the chance to bid on the mini-suite in addition to the balcony. For those keeping track of all these different scenarios, I did notice that the maximum bid for the balcony is now $100 less than when I originally bid.
  10. Thanks for your response and congrats on your upgrades! 110 days out - WOW. I hope that I haven’t lessened my chances at a bid upgrade to a balcony or mini-suite by taking the ocean view. There are still quite a few ocean views available, but there are also quite a few mini-suites and balconies available too. I guess I’m back to the waiting game, but at least in a little better cabin with no extra cost.
  11. I have read through many pages of this thread and I think my question may have been answered, but now I can’t find it. I was originally booked in an inside (IB) cabin and received an offer to bid on an OV and Balcony. I placed a bid on the Balcony and I have been watching prices. When I noticed that prices have dropped, I called NCL to ask about upgrading and paying the difference for a Balcony or Mini-Suite (at 79 days to go). The price they gave me was still much more than my bid and more than I wanted to pay, but they did offer me a complimentary upgrade (at no extra cost) to a Family OV with picture window (IB 01). The representative told me that my bid would still stay active for the Balcony. I took the free upgrade and my new OV cabin number is reflected on my NCL account. When I check my bid for the balcony it is still showing pending, but my room number is still showing as my old inside cabin. Does anyone know if and when the system will update and give me the opportunity to bid on a mini-suite? Will the balcony bid be cancelled and make me place a new balcony bid? Has anyone still won a bid upgrade this way? Thanks in advance!
  12. Wonderful! That’s what I thought and was hoping, but then I saw on the Norwegian website the description for balcony sail away said that the view may be partially or completely obstructed. That made me wonder if I was missing something. Thank you for taking the time to comment – it’s much appreciated!
  13. Does anyone know if the Jewel has any obstructed view (specifically lifeboats) balcony cabins?
