nothing on whether they died on the same day or they only made it public after they had 4 deaths.
“Unfortunately, four of our fellow guests have passed away – one last night, two yesterday and one a few days ago,” the ship’s captain Captain Jan Smit said in an announcement, which was obtained by The Guardian.

Panama’s government has said it will allow the Zaandam cruise ship to pass through the Panama Canal. No one from the ship will be allowed to disembark in Panama, however.
It comes after a stalemate, in which Panama’s authorities refused to let the ship pass through the canal, leaving passengers stuck on board.

A few minutes ago, the WA government issued this statement:
The cruise vessel Magnifica will make a refuelling stop at Fremantle tomorrow morning, but no passengers or crew will be disembarking.
Over the past 24 hours the vessel had provided inconsistent advice to both the State and Federal Governments, about the health of its passengers and its intentions around disembarkation.
The State Government’s position was clear this morning. That position was based on the latest information received from the cruise company.
MSC Cruises now advises that all passengers and crew are ‘well’ or don’t suffer from any ‘respiratory diseases’.
WA Police and Border Force will be at the port tomorrow morning to monitor the refuel exercise.
In this environment we cannot take risks and we will always put the Western Australian community first.

I agree it's very ambiguous, but as far as I know we don't have cruise ships in Australia that haven't been to foreign ports recently, so it seems like an odd thing to say.
-
"The Australian Government will also ban cruise ships from foreign ports from arriving to Australian ports for an initial 30 days and that will go forward on a rolling basis."
I hope that means the Amsterdam can continue until it gets to Fremantle, considering it's most recent ports were in Australia

What does 100% Full Refund and 100% Future Cruise Credit mean exactly?
It means you get what you paid for the fare back to your credit card (or whatever payment method you used) but you also get a future cruise credit for the same amount.

can anyone tell me what would be the purchase price of 100 shares at the current price in GBP ?
The closing price per share (Friday afternoon New York time) was $17.58, though it reached $18.12 in "after hours trading"
If the share price is similar next week then 100 shares will cost around USD$1800 which is GBP£1466
But the actual exchange rate you get from your bank or broker will be worse, so I would budget £1500-£1550
Of course with the announcement that cruises are suspended for 30 days the share price may plummet further, or it may rise (as it did in the after-hours session) now that there's "a plan" - the market isn't rational.

So Peru could ban us by the time we are due to arrive April 6.
Looks like they have:
The #DecretoSupremo was published that suspends flights from Europe and Asia and from the national territory to these destinations for a period of 30 calendar days from March 16, 2020.

I took a gamble yesterday and bought my first 100 shares @ $22.15
Primary motivation is the shareholder OBC, which I didn't even realise was a thing until I saw this thread.I figure in the long term either CCL goes bankrupt and I've lost my money, or it'll bounce back to the $50+ range and start paying dividends again - assuming of course they stop dividends this year, which I think is likely but not a given.
And in the meantime will hopefully get some of those sweet tax-free OBC "dividends"
I'm no expert trader, so I don't know what the risk vs reward is - but I never bet (invest) more than I'm prepared to lose and figured it was a worthwhile punt.
When I first saw this thread - and the stock was at $30 - I decided USD$3000 was more than I was willing to spend, but that I would jump in if it got to the low $20s.

I'm on the same cruise (plus the one directly after)
I booked directly with HAL (via the future cruise consultant on my last cruise) and noticed the final payment date has changed from the 22nd of March to the 21st of April.
And the Australian Govt has just added Italy to their travel ban list.
So I'll wait and see for a while longer...

What is a "compassion policy"?
It was in the recent email sent out by Orlando Ashford (President, Holland America Line)
"We also know that there are people with specific individual health situations that impact their ability to safely travel during these times. For those guests who are able to provide supporting documents from their health care provider, Holland America Line will issue them a Future Cruise Credit. For information on submitting a request with documentation under this “Compassion Policy,” please contact your travel advisor or our Reservations Department. This offer is available for guests booked on any sailing, regardless of departure date. "

I can't see anything about Ruby in our local media. Will keep checking. Seems rather late as it's already 2.45 here and ships berth usually around 6am.
Ruby's already in her berth at Circular Quay, but it sounds like they're not allowing anybody to embark or disembark.

The following indicates the AIS is off https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/details/stations/7072
That's the AIS receiver on the ship (which feeds into marinetraffic)
the AIS transponder is still transmitting every few minutes, as you can see here https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/home/shipid:370965/zoom:12
"Received: 1 minute ago" is what it just told me.
