Am I understanding you correctly? The Schwab card no longer pays 2%? I just looked at the card on the Schwab site and they said it was 2%. Thanks

I too am no longer using the card. I will not drop it because of the effect on my credit rating but I don't have to use it again either. I think my next cruise will be Rccl I hear the food is good and the fares are reasonable.

Not being a trusting soul, the minute I got my Dec. statement showing 516 points I sent for my $500 certificate and received it promptly. Yesterday I got a 100 upgrade certificate and a notice saying I had 6 pts. go figure. Good luck to you all and keep fighting, the idea of getting the media and/or investigative reporters involved is a very good one.

I ordered a Citi Cashreturns card and guess what among the 400 merchants that give extra points are all the main cruise lines. NCL pays 4% still don't know what that means in the real world but it is better than 1 point per dollar. Most of the main merchants are there from Macy's to Walmart. You have to register the card at the site but that was easy. Thanks again for all the good information on his forum. You guys are great. Happy Holidays

Thank you to whomever pointed out that you could go on line and check your statement before it arrived. I was planning to keep using the card till the end of the month but I'm over the 500 hump so to speak. If I keep going can I use some of the points for obc, I think someone said travel insurance (which is terrible from NCL) is there anything else? I know this has already been answered but I just read through 50 pages to get ideas for a new credit card please don't make me do it again. I don't have a better card yet and might as well get more if I can from this one.

I just paid for all but $700 for my NCL cruise in May 2009 and they refunded the fuel charges. Only 75 more points to go. I am going to miss this card so much and all the alternatives seem to have the same lousy rewards. Will check into the Hilton card but the cruise is my main vacation each year. Oh Well!!

Thanks for clearing up the confusion about the cards. I'm still looking for a new card. Where would I find info on the Fidelity card? I went with Citibanks' cash back card but it is not as good as it seemed at first glance.
