  1. We sail in a little over a week, and the activities and entertainment are just starting to show up in the app - they seem to load in batches and by sailing day.  So for our 9-night cruise, we can see activities for the first 6 days or so.

  2. Clarifications above are correct - this is in the spa, not the fitness center.  You would have to access the area by first checking in at the desk to get access to the Thermal Suite, then walk through part of the Thermal Suite area and by the heated loungers out a door to the small deck.  Not possible without either being Aqua class or having a day/week pass.

The buffet. Traditionally cruise ship buffets were on the lido deck.

Lido has traditionally been a term for the deck with the buffet and pool - Celebrity generally has moved away from naming decks and toward just using deck numbers.

  4. Your check in date should be showing on the app and the website - it is usually around 45 days out. Your curse documents and luggage tags appear on the website at 30 days. Updated menus and activity schedules are on the app one to two weeks out.

You do not need to reserve any shows on Celebrity.

  5. For us, it is the feeling that you have a team to help if there are any issues.  Two examples, both on the same trip - we were on the Solstice in Alaska.  one of our group started feeling quite unwell during an excursion.  He contacted the Retreat concierge and was able to get escorted to the front of the tender line when he returned.  On that same trip, my husband was dropped from a ship's excursion that we had already booked prior to sailing (it was a vendor error), and when we tried to rebook it the excursion showed full.  Th Retreat concierge was able to work with the vendor or get him a space on the full excursion. That safety net makes us so much more relaxed.

  6. On our recent Icon sailing the 'naughty table' included many, many irons and steamers, and few power strips, plus what looked like an Instant Pot, a full-size pair of scissors, handcuffs, and a set of lawn sprinklers - the kind on stakes that you stick in the ground.

When you arrive at Blu, the host/hostess will ask for your stateroom number.  Aqua staterooms occupy one complete deck on the ship, and so the host/hostess will know from your room number that you are assigned to dine in Blu.  Also, Aqua Class passengers have a distinctive light blue card key (Concierge staterooms have Gold, and so on).  You probably will find that you will have the same wait-staff team each evening, although you may be seated in different 'quadrants' of the restaurant during your cruise.  This gives all passengers a chance to be seated closer to the windows.

Breakfast is a bit more casual in the seating, and the early birds do score window seats..  Do try the smoothies while at breakfast.

We love Aqua Class, especially because of Blu.  You should consider bringing enough cash to tip your wait-staff - host/hostess; server, assistant servers; wine sommelier.  We have found that the Blu staff work really hard, and they really make an effort to get to know you and remember your preferences.   We also make sure that we acknowledge them by name in the end of the cruise survey.. .

We love sitting by a window in Blu no matter the ship, but just know that on Apex and Edge Blu is tucked in behind the lifeboats and that is your view. Didn’t bother us, but some were surprised.

I am not a fan either. This ship should be a test. On Celebrity, almost all of the verandas are infinite (except for suites and sunset verandas). On Icon class, you can choose.

Just noting for accuracy that this is true only on Edge class ships - Celebrity's Millennium and Solstice class ships do not have infinite verandas.

    Has this icon/section moved?

I can see my muster zone on my profile tab, but no map of where that zone is and I don't see the Safety icon anywhere.

How far away is your sailing? We sail in May and don’t have the Safety icon - it should show up closer to your sailing.

Thank  you, that helps.  I am not seeing min bid and max bid in our offer that I thought I read previously by others regarding move up bids.   What I am seeing is a slide with price in the far right corner with ?.  Does not show min or max, just the price change as you move the slider.  Is this bid amount I am previously reading about?

When you first move the slider the bid price shown will start at their set minimum amount, and will increase as you move the slider left to right. It will stop at their set maximum bid amount. You cannot bid lower or higher than the amounts on the slider.

Do the starting amounts they suggest on that page vary depending on what cabin you’ve already booked? As in, if I have an inside and I want to bid for a sky suite would be more expensive than if I have a veranda and want to bid for a sky suite?

The general consensus is yes. It’s a little obscure because the whole process is outsourced.

I've read a lot of people saying this bar is usually closed... Why would that be?

It’s really just a fancy seating area next to the Martini Bar, so they only

put the ice out and open it when the Martini Bar is open.

To every cruise line, hotel chain, and airline, loyalty is worth how much profit they expect to make.

Just look at Delta's new loyalty program.  It is totally based on how much money passengers spend with that airline.  No more credit for miles flown.

Celebrity doesn't give benefits to loyal customers to be nice.  They give benefits to keep us coming back and spending more money with them.

You might want to ask yourself the question, "what are the loyalty benefits worth to me?"

I've been saying this -- they aren't thank you gifts as much as they are incentives to not go to their competitors....

That sounds really helpful.  In 31 cruises there have been many time I've walked up to where my cabin was and realized, wrong end or side, etc.  Usually do my baby flip flop magnet but its getting old 🤪

The door signs also have a little ship icon on the them that shows whether you're fore, aft or mid. The Icon has some really good directional signage
