Has anyone gone from Livorno to either Lucca or Volterra by taxi -- and back. Wondering if there will be taxis at the port when we dock, and if we get to one of these towns, how likely it will be to get a taxi back to the ship. Any suggestions?

Has anyone taken a taxi from Civitavecchia to Tuscania? We are looking for a not-too-strenuous day, so don't want to join an all day tour of the antiquities. Just Tuscania. Wondering how easy it is to get a taxi to and from Tuscania. Thanks for any advice.

Has anyone gone to the beach in Villefranche, and were there chairs/umbrellas for rent?

Thanks again for info and suggestions. Another option I found for paper maps is to save an online map as a PDF file and take it to Staples on a USB stick. They can blow up the document and print it on paper large enough to read.

I'll be on a cruise of the Med in September, stopping at ports in Spain, France, and Italy. I like to have maps of the ports I visit and am having trouble finding online maps I can print and actually read. Does anyone know of a good source for maps of cruise ports like Valencia, Alicante, and Malaga in Spain? Or does Celebrity provide decent maps that can be used to get you around the cities? Any suggestions appreciated. :cool::cool:

I'm looking at tours out of Marseille to Aix and Cassis. Some say they felt they did not have enough time in each on a combo tour. Would appreciate comments on this -- Aix alone, Cassis alone, or combo tour that gives us both? Thanks for any insight.

We're considering a trip on Encore. Deck 5 (I think it is) has a 3/4 promenade. Are there chairs there to sit in the shade? Thanks in advance for answers.

Are chairs available on the Promenade Deck of the Crown Princess? Are there many? I like to sit in the shade and watch the sea go by. Any other places on the ship to do this? Thanks for any info on this.
