  1. I have an appointment for Friday for my Sunday sailing on NCL Joy but have done extensive research and saw customers from Carnival, RCL, and NCL all say they have successfully used them to board.
  2. I am also on the 10th 🙂 If you have Facebook, join the Norwegian Joy group - tons of reviews from the last few sailings. There is also a separate group specifically for our sailing.
  3. We are planning to use virtual OnPoint testing next week. They are $15 pp and you supply your own unopened test. You can use any brand of test as long as it is government approved - I am using BinaxNow.
  4. Oh for sure! I’m definitely planning to get the pre existing conditions one, just wanted to mention that they did offer an option now without having primary.
  5. I’m seeing two GeoBlue options: Voyager Choice and Voyager Essential. Essential says it does not require primary insurance and doesn’t cover preexisting but is otherwise the same. It’s also cheaper.
  6. Sailing on NCL Joy July 10 and looking into insurance. Considering a GeoBlue plan right now, which I know will cover me while I am in Bermuda, and I know my regular (Amerihealth) will cover me while In NY and VA ports, but what happens when actually on the cruise ship? I don’t see anything in fine print about that. Does my regular insurance kick in if it’s US waters and GeoBlue would kick in if international waters? I’ve seen other cruisecritic travelers post about getting GeoBlue so it must cover things - but want to make sure I’m getting it right before paying. Thanks!
  7. Ah thanks! Didn’t even know that was a thing.
  8. So GeoBlue would cover at all times while on the cruise ship, even if still in US waters then?

  10. We have a bit of onboard credit, but it’s nominal enough that I can surely find something else to use that on so I have my reservations secured. I do see where it’s an option to add the 4 night package, I just wasn’t sure if there was a way to upgrade from our 2 night package to a 6 night package instead rather than purchase the 4. Doing it this way would save us $45 each, but wasn’t sure if it was possible.
  11. Hi! Our cruise includes 2 specialty dining meals per person (I believe) but we would like to have 6 instead. Does anyone know how we go about upgrading and if we will just pay the difference per person between 2 and 6 meals ($100) or if we have to buy a 4 night package for the other nights ($145). Also, is Food Republic the only specialty open at lunch and can we make reservations for that? If not, is it super busy? Thanks!
