Looks like Discovery Princess has been replaced by Crown Princess, kind of disappointing as was hoping for Discovery coming here

We are onboard Ovation first 2 weeks in March, I was hoping new season would be out to do a next cruise booking but I think it might be too early, I guess we could do a future cruise deposit

The sailing name is Tahitian Treasures, no mention of transpacific in the cruise title, maybe I will be lucky 🤞

Hi All we are considering booking for our 2025 transpacific cruise whilst onboard in March, however looking at the next cruise offer it appears you only get the OBC value equivalent to a 4/5 night cruise not for the 16+ Nights the actual cruise is. Any ideas why this is so? It’s not as if the cruise is any cheaper than others it’s the most expensive cruise they do in Australia/New Zealand. We booked a 6 night cruise recently and got $150 OBC extra and looks like we would get less than that booking transpacific

Just remember Australia is behind the rest of the world with regards to Covid. We didn’t really start getting the outbreaks and numbers of it until 2 years after the rest of the world. We had restrictions for a lot longer than the rest of the world with regards to borders, travel and that includes Cruising. Cruising only started back here in May and still has to follow all the government guidelines. It’s literally the only thing in the entire world now that has vaccination and testing requirements. If you get Covid on a ship here you are isolated but come end of cruise, off you go in a taxi, on a plane out into the world. Also I think the Media are still thinking it’s a money spinning story. I feel a bit like Princess is being scrutinised by the media due to the Ruby Princess saga at the start of Covid. We have done 3 cruises this year since the start of cruising and not caught covid, happy to wear masks and very happy to keep cruising

We are big planners and have booked cruises for the 23/24 season already, we have booked New Zealand for Jan 24 on ovation but was looking to book something for Oct/Nov 23, do you think it’s worth waiting in case there is major changes? I would have thought any major ship changes would have been 24/25 season

We did our first ever cruise from Sydney last weekend and I can see why people choose to sail from there. We are looking forward to Quantum in November but have booked all our other cruises from Sydney. We live in Townsville so we have to fly in anyway and it costs maybe $10 more for a flight each to Sydney over Brisbane.
