You can combine onboard spend with another cabin, provided the same debit/credit card pays for both cabins. Before online check-in it was easy to do at Southampton. Now the easiest way is for one cabin not to register a card at all at online check-in (we've been told you're still able to print a boarding pass), and then you can sort it out at Southampton as before. Otherwise you end up queuing at reception once on board, and waiting for many phone calls to authorise the linking.
