Just got home from an Alaska cruise in the Solstice. We are not regular cruises but both my husband and myself noted how much the staff were totally masked and constantly cleaning. I am not totally sure but believe there was around 1600 or 1700 passengers. Not sure about crew numbers but service was wonderful, at least what we experienced. Again, not season cruisers but looking forwarding to booking celebrity again based on our experience on the solstice.

My husband and I rebooked an Alaskan cruise on the Solstice leaving next week. We were originally book on the Eclipse for August but had to change due to medical issues. We are in Aqua class stateroom with the elevated plan. Our gratuities are included in the price of our cruise but wanted to see if people tip their cabin steward and if so, what is the norm? I know it is very subjective but any help is appreciated. My other question is do people normally tip in Blu restaurant and if so, is it each night or at the end of the week? Finally, we have dinner reservation for the first night at Tuscan Grille and same question, do we tip based on the price of the meal? This will be our second cruise, the first being back in 2004. I know things have changed and just want to make sure I don't miss something when it comes to tipping. Thank you for any suggestions or help you can offer.
